...Adam Hall, Mike Comrie & Bill Guerin... ...Now that is talent, for less than $6MM...
-
...what a waste of money and a roster spot... ...lose Bertuzzi, replace h im with Hudler. What an upgrade!
-
...hasek at $3.5MM can take a long walk off a short pier. He isn't worth it, he shouldn't be asking for it, I'd take my chances with Howard/Osgood before I'd give Hasek $3.5MM. Does he want to win? Doesn't he realize we need that money to sign a couple more FWD's? He is insane, I wouldn'r offer him more than $1.5MM, then let him go if he doesn't take it! I just puked in my mouth thinking that Holland would even think about giving him $3.5MM... :puke: Sorry couldn't re-swallow it...
-
...so I guess that leaves Comrie, Hall & Guerin...
-
...I am willing to be he gets the #7 spot ahead of Quincey. Sheet, if Lilja goes back to his old self, Ference may find himself #6...

Adam Hall, Mike Comrie, Bill Guerin (Hasek)

Detroit didn't "GET RID" of him, he happened to be something Buffalo wanted in exchange for Hasek. Do ya think we could have offered the rights to Kory Kocur for Hasek? Nobody can play under Gretzky. Brett Hull retired because of it. Wayne is a great hockey mind, but terrible at coaching! Absolutely terrible! He needs to step into just an owners position because he also sucks as a GM of any type... Mike Comrie: Always been a winner. Even last season when he was a "CANCER" he scored 20 goals among 45 points in 65 games. That is nearly 30 goals and 70 points if he played the entire 82 games... 2006-07 Ottawa NHL 41 13 12 25 -1 24 87 14.94 2006-07 Phoenix NHL 24 7 13 20 +1 20 38 18.42 2006-07 Total Phx/Ott NHL 65 20 25 45 0 44 125 16.00 2005-06 Phoenix NHL 80 30 30 60 +2 55 190 15.79 2004-05 Farjestads BK Swe 10 1 6 7 -5 10 16 6.25 2003-04 Phoenix NHL 28 8 7 15 -8 16 65 12.31 2003-04 Philadelphia NHL 21 4 5 9 +2 12 36 11.11 2003-04 Total Phi/Phx NHL 49 12 12 24 -6 28 101 11.88 2002-03 Edmonton NHL 69 20 31 51 -18 90 170 11.76 2001-02 Edmonton NHL 82 33 27 60 +16 45 170 19.41 2000-01 Edmonton NHL 41 8 14 22 +6 14 62 12.90 2000-01 Kootenay WHL 37 39 40 79 +23 79 - - 1999-00 Michigan CCHA 40 24 35 59 - 95 - - 1998-99 Michigan CCHA 42 19 25 44 - 38 Bill Guerin: You say he is a ghost on the playoffs, so he had 0 goals last season, but jusy a year before that he had 3 goals in 5 games for Dallas. If he would have played in our 18 playoff games last season he would have had 11 goals. (p.s. that is more than Datsyuk had.) ...so, your reasons are unfounded and really have no bearing on why we should or should not sign these guys. I prefer Comrie over Kozlov only because we've already experienced the Kozlov era, plus Comrie is younger and isn't afraid to hit. Adam Hall would be great for the price. He should cost $1MM or less since Minnesota didn't even offer him a qualifying offer... Third line grinder with toughness (remember when he went toe to toe with Shanny a few times?) and the ability to chip in a few goals, he does have 50 goals in 300 or so games which, btw is a better scoring percentage than Kirk Maltby, and Hall will actually hit and fight, not just hit and run...

...Comrie...Hall...Guerin... (Hasek) Done! Stanley Cup 08!
-
...you may be right about Andrew, but this IS the Brad Ference that we think it is... http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/teams/players/bio/?i...amp;hubname=nhl This is the guy everyone is thinking it is. 250 games played... 27-Jul-06: Signed as an unrestricted free agent by the Calgary Flames. 25-Nov-05: New Jersey Devils traded Pascal Rheaume, Ray Schultz and Steven Spencer to the Phoenix Coyotes for Brad Ference. 08-Mar-03: Florida Panthers traded Brad Ference to the Phoenix Coyotes for Darcy Hordichuk and a 2nd round selection (later traded to Tampa Bay - Tampa Bay selected Matt Smaby) in 2003. 17-Jan-99: Vancouver Canucks traded Pavel Bure, Bret Hedican and Brad Ference and a 3rd round selection (Robert Fried) in 2000 to the Florida Panthers for Dave Gagner, Ed Jovanovski, Mike Brown, Kevin Weekes and a 1st round selection (Nathan Smith) in 2000. 21-Jun-97: Drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the 1st round (10th overall) in 1997. ...doesn't sound too bad if indeed we do have him...
-
ok, I'll take him for cheap. We still need to get Hall, Comrie and Guerin... Defense Lids Kronn Chelly Rafa Lebs Lily Fers ...not to shabby of a setup. Keep Quincey and Kindl on reserve...
-
...do you care to list their full forward core? Kopecky is not a guarntee, Hudler is unsigned, so if can list 13 more guys, then we'll stop all this aquire someone stuff...
-
Hall doesn't suck, Comrie can be the #3 center, the others are better on the wing and Guerin would thrive with Dats or Zetterberg... ...add those three to our roster and we get a helluva lot better!
-
...relax dude, the most of us agree with you. The Wings were already in first place last season before the aquired Bertuzzi. We aren't going to miss him. Most people who are bitching are mad because they didn't land one of the big 10 UFA's! ...all we need are some small signings to add some desire and grit to the team, which is why I am hoping for Hall, Comrie and Guerin. They all play with a mean streak and can also add some scoring... ...if we start the season with the current roster, then we'll panic...
-
...Adam Hall(grit), Mike Comrie(grit) & Bill Guerin(grit) should cost less than $6MM. Leaving $2MM for the trade deadline. Filpulla Datsyuk Homer Guerin Zetterberg Samuelson Franzen Comrie Hall Cleary Draper Maltby (Kopecky, Grigs) Lidstrom Chelios Kronwall Rafalski Lilja Ledba (Quncey/Kindl/Meech) Hasek Osgood (Howard) ...piece of cake. Kenny get it done!
-
...when the Wings sign Hall, Comrie & Guerin, Kopecky will be the 13th forward, so he will have no choice but to give it to him...
-
...whoops, sorry for the 3 identical posts up there, my browser was messing up!
-
Adam Hall, Mike Comrie & Bill Guerin.

Adam Hall, Mike Comrie & Bill Guerin.
-
Adam Hall, Mike Comrie, Bill Guerin, Dom. Drop Markov!
-
...no panic, the more old timers leave, the younger and faster and hungrier we get!
-
...I'd rather have Hall & Comrie over Shanny...
-
...lets get Adam Hall (26 yrs. 6'3" 210lbs.) & Bill Guerin. Resign Hasek and bring up Kindl or Meech. Let Markov go and give his spot to Quincey... ...maybe give Mike Comrie a call... Guerin Datsyuk Holmstrom Fillpula Zetterberg Samuelson (Grigs) Franzen Comrie Hall Cleary Draper Maltby (Kopecky) Lidstrom Rafalski Chelios Ledba Lilja Kronwall Quincey (Kindl/Meech) Hasek Osgood (Howard) ...I think Hall and Comrie would fit in great here (both CCHA (Michigan & M. State) they love to throw the body, won't cost too much and can be around for a few years. Guerin just has so much upside to his game (so he's older, he can still fly and hit and score.)
-
forsberg kozlov guerin zubrus o'neill lindros peca comrie defensemen souray stuart ...anyone of these guys (minus Souray) would sign for virtual pennies (as compared to $7MM) I'll take any of them considering what we've lost. We need a #3 center and a scoring winger. We need another D man, unless Kindl/Meech are ready...
-
...oh crap, open up the "I'd sign him for a $1MM" thread right now... ...truth is, Yzerman has always been good friends with Lindros and now that Stevie is in a position to give better input on UFA's, you may be right... ...well, with Bert gone (so much for him wanting to stay) where do we turn now? Comrie, Ricci, Kozlov? The names are dwindling away...
