Tough Guy The Bob Probert Story

I went back a few pages and couldn't find a thread, so apologies if it's there somewhere. This is playing in the Detroit Are now at Emagine Theatres. Also, in memory of Battling Bob, he is some great merch! https://themittenstate.com/search?q=Probert

I agree, but again, WHAT IF Detroit wins the lottery and Montreal gets #2? What on this Earth do you feel they would offer us to get Lafrienere?

at 84, that gives #38M! Add to that, if needed, Z's $6M! I think we are sitting very good!

if they want the player bad enough, and Lafrienere is that player, they will offer. This guy could be the next McDavid or he could struggle like Jack Hughes. You have to listen to offers, and if you really want the player, you will trade your lottery pick for another. It can happen.
  7. But Helm, Abby and Glendening have all been top 6 on his team. He could of at least said Middle 6 or something, give the kid something to strive for! Anyhow, Fire Blashill. I SOOOOOOOOO hope that he is not brought back after the season.

    2020 NCAA Free Agents

dunno, just heard the name being tossed around a little with more than a few NHL teams possibly Detroit interested. ...then again, could all just be throwing names around. Anyhow, like the poster says, it gives some things to talk about.

NOT drafting Hughes will forever haunt us! But Holland has no care in the world! Maybe we should see if he wants Zadina for Bouchard or Broberg?

    2020 Draft Thread

We'll get #1, Ottawa will get 2, 3, and then whatever they get from Isles. Ottawa will want the #1, so we'll gladly take the #2, and #3 along with Erik Brannstrom. THEN, LA, with the #4 will want that #2 to draft Byfield, so then we'll take the #4 from them along with their 2020 2nd and Fagemo. So this is what it looks like! to OTT : 2020 1st (frm DET) #1 overall (Lafrienere) to LAK : 2020 1st (frm DET via OTT) #2 overall (Byfield) to DET : 2 2020 1st (frm OTT (#2 & #3 OA, #2 traded to LAK) and LAK) #3 (Rossi) and #4 overall (Stutzle) Erik Brannstrom, 2020 2nd(frm LAK) #33 overall (Mavrik Bourque,) Samuel Fagemo. Shoots and Scores!!!

    Larkin Next?

AA was expendable. I don't think it was too much more than that. Moving forward we have: Veleno, Rasmussen, Zadina, Mastrosimone, Soderblom, Berggren, 2020 Draft pick that will all be part of the completed rebuild in 5 years, sure AA was dynamic, and I am one of his biggest fans, but with all those guys listed above, there just wasn't going to be room for him. By time we are contending, the only forwards pretty much guarantees to be left from this current roster, will be Larkin, Bert and Mantha. I can see Fabbri and possibly Perlini, but I don't think there was a chance that AA would still be here in 5 years if he wasn't traded.

I mean, I know the prize is Lafreniere, but c'mon man! Look at the stats of the other guys here! I'd hate to "lose" the lottery, but I thinkI would be fine with any of these guys! Stutzle has nearly a point a game in men's league! and if we went D

    Larkin Next?

If someone came in here and didn't read the OP, they'd think this thread was about "Larkin Next" to visit Oktoberfest! or take an Ethics and Diversity class! (no comments about my former self!)

    Larkin Next?

I do agree, when Blashill implemented "his" system, that is when we saw Larkin's production change. I seem to remember his rookie season he was in the same sentence as Eichel up until Blashill got everyone playing the "trust the process" system. Blashill IS the problem. He was the problem with AA as well. But never do you trade Larkin. This guy bleeds Red and White, he gave you a discounted contract to stay here. You do not turn around and dump him, unless, of course, one day he asks to be traded. I hope and pray that Blashill is NOT our coach after the season, Byslma either. We need an entire new philosophy in the room. Give me one of Larionov, Gallant or Lambert. Shoot, lets hire all of them in place of our entire coaching staff!

  19. Josh Ho Lee? It's great! You really learn a lot about things going on behinds the scenes that we did not know! One of my favorite lines: Are you SURE you don't have to go to the bathroom?!?! Great Docu! I miss Probie!

    AA traded to oilers

and to have a coach that will utilize him correctly... Might have to check out some of that EDM-ANA action tonight!
  21. Wouldn't it be so ironic, if Gagner comes in a turns in to the 2nd line C that we were hoping Nielsen would be? If Goloubef turns out to be a very good #3 or #4 D-man and Timashov turns out to be a steal and cracks our top 6 over the next season and makes us say AA who? This could happen! Even though they say Gagner is not as good as he once was, maybe he turns it on somehow playing with the likes of Bertuzzi or Mantha, also I think a line of Timashov - Gagner - Bertuzzi as a 2nd line might be pretty good. What I'd like to see once visa's are in place: Fabbri - Larkin - Mantha Timashov - Gagner - Bertuzzi Helm - Filppula - Glendening Abby - Nielsen/Ehn - Perlini The jury is out, maybe these lines click. I, for one, am wanting good things for Gagner, he still may go UFA in July, but maybe he makes Nielsen or Filppula expendable...we will see! If only Blashill wasn't the coach! where is blueadams when we need some line combos!
  22. Their 2020 3rd round pick disappears when/if James Neal comes back and scores only 2 more goals. The pick was already a conditional pick in the Lucic deal.

What ever happened to this? Plus I do believe there was 2 other European guys we were rumored to be signing. Any word on these 3?
  24. I'm sure Yzerman did what he could, the only thing I wish we could've done was to utilize our $11M in cap to absorb a big UFA contract or two to get more picks.
