The Wings are playing their best tonight. They are passing the puck around very well and creating lots of scoring chances. If they can keep this up for the whole game, they have a good chance of winning.

re-sign Fischer by that play alone! He knows how important this game is and that play is big time!

Sadly it'll be Holl in. This is essentially game 7 elimination for us. If we lose tonight, the playoffs are pretty much gone. Wings better show up tonight.

He played 2. If he had played a 3rd, he would've lost his waiver exemptions. They then could not have sent him back down to play in the playoffs, he most definitely would've gotten claimed. He must not have impressed them enough to warrant staying in Detroit. I have a feeling he's traded at the draft or this summer, before he can file for arbitration.

ya, it takes some time. It would be nice to be able to see them all and select the ones you want to delete and just press delete.

You have to go to your attachments, then click on the thread they are in (it'll tell you where they are) and then select "edit" post, delete attachment, then save. There might be another way, but that is how I do it. If the thread is too old, you cannot edit it, so the attachment is there forever. I have some that are 6 years old that I cannot edit.

Copp isn't going to waive his NTC to go to SJ. Yzerman isn't going to waive him. As for your suggestion of where he'd rather play, he's on a 1-way contract, so even if he got waived and cleared, and was playing in GR, he's still making the same money. So maybe he would rather play in GR over SJ? He's still "home" and he is still making $6.25M in actual salary, there is way less pressure down there, and he'd probably dominate. Detroit would only be getting $1.2M in cap relief by sending him there, so that makes zero sense for Yzerman. So, IF he were to be traded, he pretty much controls where he doesn't go.

Copp has a 10 team NTC, I doubt he'd waive it to go to SJ. Winnipeg or Rangers might want him back, he'd gladly go to a contender. It's sad that the hometown kid just isn't working out.

Just read an article about 3 Ducks that could be traded this summer. Zegras, Gibson, and Fowler. Would Yzerman bring Cam home? Ducks feel that he doesn't fit the rebuild. We are further along. Ducks have well over $30M in cap space, and in a rebuild they shouldn't be looking to add too high a dollar UFA. I bet Yzerman could get them to retain 50% of his salary for the next 2 seasons. Cam Fowler at $3.25M is a heck of a deal. If we are able to dump some D, he could be a nice addition. Trade Holl, Chiarot and Maatta. Buyout Petry (I still think that is happening) or keep him for #7 spot, let Ghost walk. Replace with Edvinsson, Fowler and a top UFA or another acquisition by trade and another internal kid. I am not going to get into trade pieces, but imagine this scenario of acquisitions over the summer on D. Fowler (50%) - Seider Edvinsson - Chychrun (50%) Walman - Sean Walker (just a suggestion) Petry (or Wallinder/Johansson) Up front, trade Fabbri, re-sign Kane, Fischer (team friendly deal) and Sprong for term, not salary (5 yrs. $4M maybe). I still see them bringing in Stamkos, it's hard not to see Yzerman going for that vet, especially if he lets Perron and Ghost go. I can see Berggren being a booger and taking the team to arbitration, so unless he really impresses these last games, I'd include him in trade offers. That might be the only reason he is here, so other teams can see him play in the NHL. We might be saying goodbye to some first-round picks, but it might be time to gamble on that. The Goalie spot is a whole other animal. Do we trust Husso to be #1? Would Husso/Lyon carry us into the playoffs? We might need to find a real #1 guy.

If Danielson only becomes a 4C, then it's a waste of a top 10 pick. Waste of a 1st round pick. This is why Rasmussen and Veleno are busts. You don't draft bottom 6/3 talent in the 1st round. BOTH Danielson and Kasper better be top 6 when they are consistent NHL players. Edvinsson better be top 2-3. You just don't draft (keep these top picks) for them to be bottom anything. Rasmussen has not earned his contract and Holland blew a #9 pick by drafting him. Not saying he sucks, but he's never played up to his draft position, will be a career 4th line player, and does not deserve the contract. At least Veleno was a #30 pick.

IMO, each time there's expansion there should be 2. Keep this crap even, odd number teams screw up playoffs. Also fug the expansion draft. I hate when that comes around. It seems teams get to protect less players each time. Although I know the last 2 have been the same. Another good reason to keep middle of the road aging vets on the team!

Time to start looking at this again. With about 50 rolls at Tank-A-Thon, we never moved out of 16th spot. If the losing trend continues, we'll move up more, but right now we're 16th.
