not that I think these guys would be "on their way out" but here is a list of guys I think could be shopped around for the right deal: Hudler Cleary Emmerton Mursak Filppula (I would hate this) and Franzen....yes, Franzen but ONLY if it was to acquire that legit top line super sniper, if not, then I keep Franzen because his value to this team is nearly irreplaceable, but for the right deal... I agree with your take on Stuart, but in all honesty, if he is for sure not coming back then I would ride him through the playoffs, then come to a sign and trade deal with a west coast team that absolutely wants him and does not want to get into a bidding war for him come July 1st. I just think he is too valuable to this team to deal him before the playoffs... after that, you can pick a number of prospects that could go, but there are few I would hate to see go, Smith and Sheahan being two. I like what Nyquist brings and there are a few other small skilled forwards that excite me too! It would be a tough call, but to get Morrow here and maybe Moen as well, it's a call that would be worth taking....in my opinion.

Why a defenseman? I would think that a "ready" prospect (Tatar, Andersson) along with maybe a roster player. (Hudler, Filppula, Cleary, Emmerton or Mursak) I would hope and pray that Holland does NOT trade Sheahan, he seems to be growing very well and he should be ready in a couple of years to join the bottom 6 as a huge body that we desperately need...I believe Tatar and Andersson are good players in their own right, but I personally like this team with Sheahan on it, rather than the former(s.) Anyhow, Morrow would totally make this team very hard to play against, plus I do believe he is a favorite of Babcock's as well... I just hope this happens. Add Morrow now, add Suter and "Sniper" in the offseason...Things in Hockeytown would aces!

I really hope that the Wings acquire Morrow! I am sure it will cost some prospects along with a roster player. But he is every bit worth it as long as Dallas doesn't try to high ball Holland with a deal that they know Holland won't do... I still think if the Wings got Morrow, Hemsky and Nabokov for the playoff run, they would be a formidable force no doubt! Even if one of our rivals scooped up Perry or Iginla. The Wings have shown before that they can handle those guys. Unless it is a deal that cannot be passed up, I don't think Holland gets Perry/Ryan/Iginla. But back on topic, Morrow would be totally awesome here, plus he is signed for another season so he would be able to see exactly what being a Red Wing is all about and not just spend a few months here and bolt. Brenden Morrow is a keeper. He would be worth signing on long term before he becomes a UFA.

Oh Sheet! Datsyuk and Perry together! Let's see what kind of chemistry can be made! Also Datsyuk and Hossa, together again! Suter on his team too? Wow, could be a reunion this summer!

I was just saying that they take this sport way serious to want to permanantly put their logo on themselves, but I did say that they all look awesome, just not my cup of tea...oh well, as usual if someone doesn't live and breathe Red Wings 24/7 and think that if the Red Wings didn't exist then the world would end, then they aren't really a fan... To each their own....but you all are some fans that live and breathe Red Wings and take this sport a bit too serious. I have been a fan of theirs since I was 9, waaaay back in 1979, but I wouldn't think about putting their logo on my body....permanently. I am not saying anything bad, they all look nice, it is just me. (of course I currently have ZERO tattoo's it's just not my thing, if it were, I may feel different about the logo's.) They all look awesome though! Life long fans for sure! Anyone care to explain why this got negged? Just curious...

Yesterday was a glitch....Wings are still #1 overall in the NHL, still have the best goalie (who is entitled to a bad game every so often) and are still healthy (sans Eaves.) Sure the road games are a bit concerning, but at least they aren't 9th in the West and then pulled a crap like last night, eh? Go Wings!

Lost in all of this is an ACTUAL Game Winning Goal by Johan Franzen. He actually scored with the game tied, in a clutch situation! I have to give him credit for that! Good on ya, Franzen! This is funny stuff... It was textbook instigating AND it was nowhere near interference. The puck was not 5 feet away from the players, it was directly behind the net, exactly where they were. You are just looking for excuses to why you Blues lost their cool and lost the game. If every player in the league that saw their teammate get hit LEGALLY and felt the need to retaliate just because the guy got knocked down didn't do so, then we wouldn't have these roughing penalties. Legal hit, got embarrassed then his teammate lost his cool. This is hockey, not tiddly-winks.

I agree, but in all honesty, I don't think there was a call to be missed. cprice says that it was textbook interference but it really wasn't. It would have been interference if Helm knocked the guy down, they went after the puck, but it was an even battle for the puck where Helm hit him as they were going for the puck. If the puck weren't right in the feet of the players and was maybe 3-4 feet away, sure it could have been considered interference. No matter what, the Blues lost their cool and took a dumbass roughing penalty that cost them possibly getting a point in OT. Even on the ensuing PP if Halak wasn't trying to Halak and Whack Holmstrom into the stands, he would've been ready and in position to stop Kronwall's shot. Blues lose their cool and lose to Detroit....again...

Crosby is going for his PAP SMEAR this week, they got plenty to talk about... ...besides, they only NOT suspend star's in the playoffs when they know the other team will go up 3 games to 0 if they allowed the suspension to stand and more than likely cause said team to lose to the other team AGAIN and then they couldn't jam said certain star players teammate and team down your throat like there is no other team to ever win the Stanley Cup in the world! (Yes, still have hate for that. It was a BS call to rescind the penalty that would've have pretty much guaranteed our back to back Championships. This was one of the worst cases of the league controlling the outcome of a series that I have ever seen. No, there is no guarantee the Wings would've won it, but the NHL did what they did to guarantee they didn't repeat...) Sorry, what was the topic again? He needs Miller. Miller makes Abdelkader a better player because he is better defensively than Emmerton, so Abdelkader can take risks and go a bit out of his way to make a hit or a play because Miller can cover for him. Emmerton isn't bad, but just not as good as Miller. Once Eaves returns, Miller should slide back to the 4th and Abby should return to form. (unless Babcock can't take his head out of his ass.)
