Carter could of been considered a big name and he went to a West Coast team where he played a key role in their playoff success and Cup. It wasn't like LA was a top seed either, they could of been easily bumped. Now, ANA is a different story I suppose as the history of them meeting the Wings in the playoffs.

Wings have a tendency on the PP to look for that perfect pass or shot which eats up a lot of time. If the Wings did shoot more and it wasn't blocked, scoring chances would increase dramatically. Babs is right, shoot the puck... Get a rebound... Get the d or goalie moving
