$$$$$$$ Those other teams haven't spent to the cap in the last few years and Toronto tends to overpay guys.
-
Can't imagine he was talking about a trade this season since it doesn't free up any immediate cap space. Tons after next season though. Great trade for the Leafs in the long-term. Good trade for Ottawa for this season and next.

Fast on my computer. What can't you find? I get the frustration of learning a new layout and being resistant to change but TSNs does make sense if you take the little time required to figure it out. It even offers more content then ever before.
-
How is TSN's site a mess?
-
I actually like it. The other one was far too cluttered with crap I didn't need to see.
-
Great to see! Not the same without LGW.

“Lots of people talk about the wall and the NHL schedule is certainly difficult and can be a grind for sure, whether you played college or junior or any of that,” Blashill said. “I don’t believe in the wall. I think if you allow yourself to hit a wall, you hit a wall, but I don’t believe it has to happen. “I look at what Dylan did last year. If you think about the experience he went through last year – playing college hockey as a freshman (at Michigan), playing in the world junior tournament (for the United States), finishing his year, having to make an extremely difficult life decision, playing in the worlds, coming to Grand Rapids and playing in the (AHL Calder Cup) playoffs – there isn’t going to be a more excruciating year than that.

Nope. -
I don't think they're underrated at all. Most in the business would consider them top 5.
-
Also Lecavalier has stated he's retiring at the end of this season. So no salary will carry forth past this season for the Kings.

It's mainly an American thing to have your weak hand on the top. NY Times Article

In comparison to who? Bobby Orr? 24 points in 32 games this season lol He has averaged 40 points a season for almost his entire career.
-
My point was there is absolutely no precedent set to indicate he will get 7 million. Who are these RFAs who are getting 7 million avg caphit who around equal value/ability to Dekeyser? I just don't understand what comparables you're using.
-
Only 7 defencmen in the entire league have a caphit of 7 mil or more. That includes Doughty, Subban, Weber and Suter. How good do you think Dekeyser is?? He's not a top 2 defenceman. His caphit will come in right around Kronwall and Ericsson range.

Pavel like you've never seen him before. Video

Do people just completely forget or neglect that Jimmy has a modified no-trade clause? No, that doesn't make him untradable or anything but he does have to be in on the idea. I think he can supply a list of ten teams he can be traded to? (anyone with a solid source on this would be great) That kind of narrows the field a bit.

The difference is Varlamov was a 23yr old RFA and Schneider was a 26yr old on a good contract. Howard is 31 and has a big contract. Those guys had their best years ahead of them. We've probably seen the best Howard has to offer. He's just not the same value as those guys. Especially in a cap system. I could see a late 1st or a couple 2nd rounders for Howard at most. Plus we'd probably have to either take salary back or retain some. It could be an expiring UFAs salary, but there's no way we're dumping that 5mil with nothing coming back. Regardless it's an offseason deal if it happens at all.

Goalies just don't have great trade value unless you're a top ten guy. Especially with his salary in the cap-world. Won't return anything close to a big piece. Eddie Lack to Carolina for third and seventh-rounders Cam Talbot to Edmonton for second, third-rounders Antti Raanta to New York for Ryan Haggerty Martin Jones to San Jose for Sean Kuraly, first-rounder Devan Dubnyk to Nashville for Matt Hendricks Cory Schneider for the ninth overall pick (Bo Horvat) Jonathan Bernier for Ben Scrivens, Matt Frattin, second-rounder Ben Bishop for Cory Conacher, fourth-rounder Steve Mason for Michael Leighton, third-rounder Sergei Bobrovsky for second-rounder, two fourth-rounders Anders Lindback (and Kyle Wilson) for two second-rounders, one third-rounder and Sebastien Caron Tomas Vokoun for a seventh-rounder Semyon Varlamov for first-rounder (Filip Forsberg) and second-rounder Brian Elliott for Craig Anderson Dwayne Roloson for Ty Wishart Jaroslav Halak for Lars Eller and Ian Schultz Kari Lehtonen for Ivan Vishnevskiy and fourth-rounder

What exactly was Ericsson doing on that goal? Besides being utterly useless and falling for no reason... -
But who's the top 4 defenceman we're giving up to NYI? They've made it clear that's what they want in return. Unfortunately it doesn't make a lot of sense. Each team giving up a top 4 is going to expect one in return and no team is going to give up two of them.

Alright you've made the blocked list. This is why I don't even bother engaging in conversation anymore. Talk about clueless...
