"But the simple fact is Quenneville believed that Jordan Oesterle, Connor Murphy, Michal Kempny, Gustav Forsling and Jan Rutta (who carry a combined cap hit of $7.195 million) have played better than Seabrook (who has a cap hit of $6.875 million, with six more years left on that contract)." https://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/brent-seabrook-a-healthy-scratch-for-blackhawks-in-ottawa/amp/

You could spin that anyway you want. You could also say he only had a few poorer years under 50% that pull his numbers down. Otherwise really he's 50-53%. The point is the numbers are the numbers and he's better than most and "hasn't always sucked at them".
-
What you're forgetting is it's a development league for youth. Not many players with an NHL future will play more than 2-3 seasons there (18/19yrs old). Some skip it entirely. The older players in the league usually do not make it very far professionally as they would have moved on already if they could.

Has he though? I know it's cool to hate on Crosby here but his career average is 51.4% and he's even had 3 seasons better than this season. Not to mention his playoff numbers are even higher.
-
...among defencemen. Not overall. Not to mention he's played half the games as most. Small sample size, but nonetheless encouraging. Also have to remember he turns 24 in a couple months. Guys like Hieskanen and Juolevi are 18 and 19.

Cody Franson is a pylon with decent hands. He can't keep up with today's game. Not to mention he's been injured 3 times in the month of December alone with a mysterious "upperbody injury".

Well he promised the Ilitches he would move them back to the East. I can't imagine he would disrespect that agreement just a few years later and flip them back. https://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puck_daddy/post/Detroit-owner-Ilitch-Bettman-promised-move-to-E?urn=nhl-wp13732

Detroit's in the East to stay. Bettman promised that to the Ilitches.

Nope but keep making crap up like you're known for. I'm curious if you even believe your own lies or if you'll just say anything to try and make a point. -

Show me one semi-respected source with Evan Bouchard in the top 5. Hell I'll even settle for top 10. -
Puhleeze.... THE ALMIGHTY CANUCK WILL PROSPER
-
What are you talking about? There are only 20 forwards in the entire league that average 20min/night. Mostly superstars. Once again, an issue you're so passionate about yet know nothing about. Maybe do some research first before you act like you know better.

Blashill says struggling Wings must "Trust The Process."

Sports isn't fair. Get over it and perform. -
They have to be. No one will stay in Buffalo if they're sober.

Blashill says struggling Wings must "Trust The Process."
Son of a Wing replied to kjw25's topic in General
So what exactly do people expect Blashill to say? He's put it on himself. He's put it on the players. The teams not competitive and there's no magic wand. What would you do if you got asked the same questions every day? Call out the vets? Guys like Helm, Nielsen, Ericsson? Where's that going to get us? Those guys aren't capable of turning the team around even if it did light a fire. It's just going to piss them off AND decrease their trade value and we'd still be stuck with them. Ride it out. Go through "the process" and try your best to maintain a positive competitive culture where young players can still develop. That's all he can do. -
So you say comrade...
-
Might as well get something for him. This essentially means we traded Sheahan for a late 3rd round pick.
-
Blashill and Holland will finish out the season. No self respecting coach will want to be a lame duck.
-
Well I recently got lower bowl seats for the upcoming game on the 5th and they were only $65 a piece. So they can't exactly be in crazy demand.
-
E is also our shutdown guy and gets the hardest matchups alot of the time. For that reason, his mistakes are usually amplified. Unfortunately we really do not have anyone else to play that role as well.
-
He's actually been ok this year. Not near as bad as last year. He is what he is. An overpaid 5/6 defensive defenceman.

Brendan Smith traded to Rangers for 2nd (2018) and 3rd (2017) Round Draft Picks

What a stupid play. He really is clueless.
