On my honor as an LGW Mod*, the following link is a completely spoiler free review of The Force Awakens. http://www.theverge.com/2015/12/16/10243884/star-wars-the-force-awakens-review It's currently sitting at 97% from Rotten Tomatoes. I. Cannot. Wait. *take that or leave it, for what it's worth

Not stupid at all. No matter how long your playing career is, at some point there is going to be a life afterwards. Better to retire with a shorter career and have a longer life, than the other way around... Best of luck to him with whatever his future plans are.

Star Wars Episode I was not the worse movie in the franchise... ...Episode II was. -
Ok. I admit it. I was flat out wrong when this all started 3 years ago. From everything that I've seen about The Force Awakens, it seems that JJ Abrams has made this film in the same mold as the Original Trilogy was, where the focus is about the characters and the story, and NOT the special effects and CGI. Actual constructed sets were used, instead of 95% green-screen. I haven't been this excited about anything Star Wars related in a LONG, LONG time. The Force may indeed be with us all.

I will add my recommendation for sportsk as well. I've bought anywhere from 8-10 jerseys from there, and have been absolutely nothing but satisfied each time. They ship fast, have the best prices, and have unparalleled customer service. The letters and numbers on their Wings jerseys are absolutely the real deal (unlike Hockeytown Authentics or Shop.NHL.com, which have smaller letters and numbers that just don't look right), and they are all tackle-twill sewn on. They are my first (and often, only) place I go to when I'm in the market for a new jersey.

I just threw up in my mouth a little...

Where was that toughness when you were in Detroit, Ian?!

At first, I thought the report of 41 games was a typo. Then, I remembered that this is Raffi Torres we're talking about...

I can get behind Frank's Red Hot. Peace has been restored. I'm not a fan of Pink Floyd. There. I said it. -

I'm sorry, I still can't get over your grilled cheese and ketchup statement... Now Tabasco on your grilled cheese? That's a different thing. -
Everything old is old again.

Did he wake up thinking he was Curtis Joseph or something?

Stevie was (sorta) on the cover of NHL 96.

Fewer years = Less time to complain. Gotta get the shots in while they can, and make em count more than 3 years worth of complaints...
-
Ehh... Only one year, so the price tag isn't too much to worry about. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if we have cap room, could we apply the extra $1m for bonuses to this year's salary? Or was that only in the previous CBA?
-
Confirmed via multiple sources on Twitter (I'm probably not even the first to report this). Signed 1 year, $3m with bonuses to $4m.
-
Not to nitpick, but he's actually 35. Born 5/2/1980.

Well, they're not the worst jerseys I've ever seen... Given the current state of the Coyotes, I suppose that's actually saying something...

We've confirmed that the recent influx of spammers are actual people, not spambots or anything like that. As such, there may not be much we can do to prevent the occasional attack. We have tools that make cleaning up these attacks extremely easy (one click on their profile and they're banned, content removed and ip-blocked). But unfortunately we can't use these tools until the spam posts are brought to our attention. That's where we need members to use the "report post" tool. When a post is reported, the system sends an email to each of the boards moderators and Admin. That way we get notified, even if we're not on the boards. One thing though, most of these spammers tend to attack the boards in the very late/early hours, when most people are asleep. LGW mods are just like everyone else, we have jobs and responsibilities that make it hard to be online at the time these spammers hit. So please understand that we will take care of the attacker as soon as we can, but it may be several hours before a mod can be online.

I'll take the reds and yellows, you take the pinks and oranges. Problem solved. Music that is newer than mid-to-late 90s is just not that good (by and large, of course certain notable exceptions exist). -

Red Starburst (cherry) > Pink Starburst (Strawberry). -
Babcock will be, regardless of where he goes. Currently, it's widely regarded that Joel Quenneville is the highest paid.

ALSO BANNED FOR HERSHEY'S!!! I'm on the fence about LZ. There are songs I like, and songs I can't change the station fast enough for. Though, to be fair, the same is true with most artists out there... I feel it's ok to lie to your boss about having no candy at your desk, because she always comes by and steals most of your candy and doesn't ever offer to help replace said candy.
