Last year we won Game 1, and lost the series, so we're trying something new this year.

I think the Wings limping into the playoffs, or getting in back door, is over done. We had to play Philly, Boston, and NYRangers in 4 days. Every team that had to end the season like that, would have a tough time. Funny how the Wings don't get credit for beating Minnesota and Toronto in a back to back the weekend before, and dominated Philly in a must win. They had nothing left playing Boston and the Rangers. Those last 5 game of the schedule were brutal, but we went 3-2.

I guess we'll see what happens when Dats talks to Holland at the end of the year.

I was thinking about this "backed in" to the playoffs (I made the comment too). How many teams can survive playing Philly, Boston, and NYRangers in 4 days, and playing 3 of our last 4 games on the road? We made the playoff because we beat Minnesota, Toronto on back to back nights, and Philly in a must win. Boston couldn't keep up.

Agree, I never had a problem with the 6 divisions. I still don't understand the change to 4 divisions.

Hey we got in back door, but I'm feeling good. 3rd place in the division, and we're playing Tampa while their best player is injured. I think if we were told at the beginning of the year this is how it would be going into the playoffs, we'd take it.

Last night took a lot out of the Wings no doubt. Very emotional win, and no time to rest. I've played a lot of sports (still do), and been there, so I know the feeling... Just win on Saturday!

2-0 start on the road, against a good team (Miami). How about VMart, limited to PH'ing duties in a NL park? 2 PH's, 2 HR's, gotta love it! I'm not a big Ausmus fan, but I'll give him his due for bringing in Greene to get the SV in Game 1. Smart move.

8:00 is the perfect time, because the Tigers game starts at 4:55. Tigs should be done when the Wings game starts. Gonna be a fun night watching my 2 favorite teams.

I'm a 3.5 hour drive from the Joe, I'm planning to make 3 trips to the Joe next season. Maybe a game in November, January, and March.

I know Stamkos is expected to make a full recovery, but it'll be interesting to see if the injury effects his next contract.

You know if the Wings do that, Bettman will make up a new rule so it can't be done again.

Let's Go Tigers! Be glad you guys don't have to deal with Blue Jays fans. I'm happy people in the Toronto area are following Baseball again, but you can tell these fans are new to the sport. It started in the playoffs last year when they were complaining the Jays always played the early game. Them and the Mets were the only teams from the Eastern Time Zone to make the playoffs, so they will play the early games. Also, I have a friend, who only started following the Jays in August, constantly telling me how the Jays are doing, and gave me a hard time last year the Tigers didn't make the playoffs, despite making it from 2011-2014. Yesterday I had to tell him, AGAIN, the Tigers and Jays aren't in the same Division, and only play each other 7 times. I'm not paying attention to the Jays. Plus the Jays play in the easiest Division in Baseball, they're the only team guaranteed to be over .500. They'll win the East by 15 games easy. The Tigers will win 95 games if they played in the East.
