Goaltending didn't lose this game. Our pathetic zone coverage did. However I do agree. We need stellar Mrazek to win this series. Really, overall though it was a decent game. Both teams had chances. Our PP needed to score and didn't. I'm quite calm which is nice because I don't expect anything from this team. -

that's detroit's problem for saying they won't trade it. and if they don't they are officially the stupidest organization of all time. as for Pav though. 2nd favourite player of all time, next to Yzerman. i'm still surprised that he is actually done after this year. i thought we'd get at least another year, probably 2. but after reading the Albom article, i can fully understand why he is done. gonna miss watching that guy, this team is gonna have a giant gaping hole. -
this sounds legitimate enough....hope you're right. also....play balls to the wall just for Pav. don't let this turn in to a lidstrom-like final playoff series. pav has gotta get past round 1 at least.

blashill is saying this series is going to be won/lost on special teams. which is probably true. we're going to play slow and s***ty and try not to lose. terrible hockey....

there's no reason to believe that we are turning around anything. we keep hoping and saying this for every important game but nothing changes. we all need to face the fact that this team and it's style isn't working.

to anyone who says or thinks Kronwall is going to be traded....ain't gonna happen...never....ever since when are the Wings not the most loyal (to a fault) franchise?

jesus...just watched the highlights. mrazek was terrible, jimmy was terrible, defense from everyone around them was terrible. no fight at all. they seem done and just want the season over. nothing worse then finishing ninth. -

Maybe i'm way off when it comes to Mrazek and his contract when compared to King Henrik. http://www.nysun.com/sports/lundqvist-avoids-arbitration-agrees-to-one-year/58335/ the biggest difference is the games played and the fact that Lundqvist was clearly the #1 at this point after playing 70 games. Mrazek is not quite there yet.

mrazek makes $800k....there is no way he'll get anywhere close to that in arbitration. $2 mil at the most. maybe 2.5....tripling his salary.
