I think that you have a pretty good handle on the situation. I also think that, being the professionals that they are, they have played enough with each other to know the basic tendencies and habits that their teamates have. It shouldn't be a huge issue. As far as Bert moving to the second line for tonights game I, personally, thought Babcock should have made that move in game 3. He played most of his time in the reg season on that line so his comfort level shouldn't be an issue. Oh and BTW, welcome to the world of posting. Not a bad first post.

Yeah Hotlanta just traded in the farm for not much at all. It's too bad because they have a decent line-up. Will there be a fire sale in the offseason?

I got my new authentic Wings home jersey in the mail yesterday (thanks OsGod for the SportsK link). I hope the new one will bring better luck than the old one. After three championships the old one was just getting way to ratty looking. It served it's purpose though.

I'm not questioning Babcock's decision to out in Bertuzzi but I am questioning the line-up he used last night. I truly thought that Sammy would sit this one out because that would put Bert on the line with Calder and Lang again. I was hoping to see the kid's stay on a line together again last night. I don't know how much of a difference that this would have made but Flip looked lost with Bert on his line. He didn't have the same type of game that he had in the first two. Bad line combo IMO. I was actually suprised that they didn't try to change it up after a while.

Hey, it's all good. The Wings played a damn good game last night. They just happened to get on the wrong side of the chinsy calls by McCreary. The difference between this time and last time we played them in 2004 is that we didn't just sit there and let them take their game to us. It's almost a guarantee that we'll come out a little more disciplined next game. GO WINGS!!!

We folks it didn't look like Zetterberg took even a game off. He was in there battling from the get go. Maybe they just cryogenically froze him until his swelling went down. I'm glad he's back with his line. They were a force to be reckoned with last night. Great win guys!!!

That blows harcore. I remember those days. I was in class when Stevie Y scored his 500th goal vs. Roy. Me an another guy were listening to it on the radio with headphones in the back of the class. We high-fived each other. It was actually pretty funny.

I have my Wings golf shirt on today for work. Switching to jersey mode after I get home. Now that I think about it a golf shirt maybe isn't a great idea. I switched it up to the Wings t-shirt at lunch for my workout though.

There are definitely things that i like better about this team over last years team. Firstly, we are a much younger, grittier, faster team than last season. This makes us much more suited to grind it out with the opposing team in the playoffs. We are much deeper too in talented offensive players. They are more talented but not as experienced so that takes a bit away. Goaltending is definitely better than last year. No shot at Manny but I think Dom's much more stable and that says a lot. Leadership-wise, I don't see any problems in that department.

You did. They talked about it during the Wings game Saturday. It was some guy back in the 1930's. He was pretty much Canadian though but he was born in Russia.

It really didn't seem like he hurt himself that bad on the Osgood hit. I missed the Lapointe hit on him though. It's too bad he can't start the playoffs from the get-go.

Yeah. I don't disagree with you. It's actually a bertter solution than I had. It would put the goal judges out of a job for sure.

I've recently been thinking about this too and that's pretty much the same method I came up with only I was thinking one sensor around the center of the circumference of the puck. It seems like a no brainer idea doesn't it? I think that the NHL will come up with something eventually anyway.

Wings apparel on every game day definitely, in fact, I've pretty much worn the same jersey for every Wings playoff game since 1998. I bought it right after the Wings won it all in 1997. It's getting pretty ratty though so I'm praying for a reason to replace it. The seating thing is pretty much right on too. I also clench my hands a certain way when the game is close. There are others but I can't divulge them because it could have bad inplications for the playoffs.
