My brother said something about today being the deadline for the game to go on. Myabe he was mistaken but I agree with Travis that I want all of my money back (GLI included). I'm so pissed because I tried like hell to go to Chicago when it was there and couldn't swing it. I finally get the right timing and buy tickets and this is what comes of it. -
Geez. They sure picked a nice time to start the injury parade. It just sucks that the only game I'm getting to this year so far happens to be in the middle of it. At least I get to see how the young guys play.

Raffi was brought in to do one thing. Keep us a contender for the Stanley Cup by shoring up the defense. He did that in the first year he played with us. Arguably, without him in 2008 we don't make it all the way. Do you want to trade in that Stanley Cup for a couple more less competitve years? I don't.

I got a signed copy of a book called "The Bruise Brothers - Hockey’s Heavyweight Champions" for my birthday in November. I love the book.

Not that I think he'll be playing at all but on the Wings official Facebook page they have a photo of Lilja on the ice for practice this morning. I had no idea that he was practicing with the team now.

It's too bad that he leaves the game so quietly but I guess he needed to leave the game on his own terms. He'll always be one of my all-time favorite players. Good luck in retirement Shanny.

I usually try to get to at least two games during a season. Last year I was lucky enought to see 4 games. What's crazy is that I've been to nearly 40 games in the past 15 years and have only seen the Wings lose 2 or 3 games and tie once.

I framed my 1997, and 2002 but I lost my 1998 and 2008 in a flood in my basement a month ago. I didn't just lose those but also some of my 1997 covers from several other papers with Yzerman on it. Needless to say, I was not happy at all.
