I wouldn't be opposed completely to the jersey incorporating a different element. The Gothic D that is used on the other hats isn' that bad. That D is just horrible. The logo has to stay unchanged though.

I don't necessarily agree with moving them only because they can be a factor somewhat just by turning on the lights. I also don't think we have the proper technology in place yet to determine goals without someone behind the net. I guess if the GJ's are going to watch an overhead angle of the net for the entire game maybe they could do this. I wonder if the goal judge position will just disappear if this trend takes hold. It's not a problem in my book if the proper technology is set in place.

Well, that would make some sense I guess since the UHL hosts a few of the original IHL teams like the K-wings and Flint Generals. I remember watching the Saginaw Gears-Generals-Hawks in the old IHL. Good times were had.

It was around this time 10 years ago that I first learned of the accident. I remember the panic I felt and the saddness that set in knowing that he may die from the injuries he sustained. I remember how pissed off I was in the weeks that followed as the details came out about the driver. Overall, it was just a sad time. I'm just glad that everyone involved survived and have made new lives for themselves. Number 16 will forever be missed on the ice but it makes me smile when I see him walking and talking.
