That is hockey Gods punishing Preds for beating the Red Wings in the first round. I truly feel sorry for Preds watching their team being dismantled like that. The whole future of the team goes down the drain in a month. If Weber goes, Preds need to rebuilt.

Doan is not a 7mil/year guy unless the team is built to win the Cup that year and has all the key elements in place. Adding Doan at any price would make sense. Otherwise let him go elsewhere.

Short and simple. Tootoo is a significant improvement in our 4th line in every way. Toughness, scoring, energy, speed. You name it.

Are this people making a joke out of NHL ? Average players getting 7mil/year deals for like 6-10years. 48 ear old wants to play goalie in the NHL. What is going on ?

Just remember that soon we will be glad Wings did not sign those two to such rediculous contracts. Iam happy now that Kenny did not land them in Detroit. Minnesota has 5 players alone earning 38 mil. Their team is doomed.

The best thing Wings can do for Hasek is to let him play at the Alumni game. -
He will be RFA and very high risk.

Franzen needs to have fun. There is no better place for that than Blue Jackets. He can be lazy and still be their No 1 guy.

Other than Pasha, Z, Filpula,Kronwall, Smith and Howard I would give up anybody for Nash. Nash is a frenchise player all by himself.

Howson maybe forced to go for a significant discount to make this trade happen. I don't think this situation in Columbus is any good for their team. Therefore they have to be more cooperative, and they will.

That would be awesome. I have said it many times. Importance of Nash is not only on score sheet. He will help the Wings reestablish that elite status. Detroit will be more attractive for future UFAs and new hockey talent, and of course the loyal Red Wings fans.

Odds for Nash coming to Detroit are very low. Don't think Kenny is that desperate for a big name forward via trade.

Asking for another year is unfair. Homer knowes that he can't perform at the level that will help the team. Therefore he should learn from Nick. If you can't perform the way you want to, than you should leave. If he needs money, he can go play in some other place.
