I have no idea how many shutouts I have had. I never kept track over the course of the last 10 years that I have played.

It works when I play net thats for sure. Its pretty bad when my own team starts chanting it with about 5 minutes to go if I am pitching one and we are up by 3-4 goals.

I like what I see from the Wings. They have a lot of intensity but luck is just not on their side right now.

Further proof of your bandwagoner status. Lidstrom led us to a Stanley cup in 2008 and the finals in 2009. Oh how soon we forget.

Then don't stop being a fan when the Wings are struggling. Your previous post spoke for you. If you consider backing your team "sucking the red teet" its time for you to hand in your true Wings fan status. As for when I was a fan, I started back in 1995 when I watched my first live college hockey game and was hooked. I was a Wings fan ever since I knew I loved the sport.

Ok, you expect me to take you seriously, but I just can't. Every time? Yet you a diverse hockey watcher? I call bullcrap on that. I am a diverse hockey watcher and I don't see the Wings defense doing it only spontaneously. They really need to pick up the intensity. Especially Kronwall and Stuart. You say they get called for it everytime. I say they are being lazy.

On both Vancouver goals, our defense is soft in front of the net. The second goal Vancouver had was just disgusting. Why isn't Detroit's defense being aggressive about getting guys out of in front of the net? Its obvious if Howard can see the shot he is going to make the save. Holmstrom is in front of the net and Vancouvers' defense is knocking Holmstrom out from in front of the net. Detroit should take a lesson from that and start doing that in their own zone.

I love how Mickey says it was a hooking call, and yet some fans here think it was crappy. Personally, I take more into what he says because he knows the game. I think it was a good penalty to take. Otherwise, Vanek has a wide open chance.

If he leads Detroit to the playoffs, he should at least get a shot at playing in the playoffs. Thats what I think.

I like Howard over many of the other starting goalies in the NHL. He is doing fine.

I like the way the refs are calling the game too. There seems to be a lot of ticky tacky stuff that is let go. Holmstrom falling down a few times off of pushes from behind for instance or when Bert nudged someone from behind. PP Detroit.

Canada is dominating this game, and then the bounces start going for them.

I think the USA has underachieved more than the Russians have in recent olympics. One silver medal in 4 olympic years is disgusting. I think the problem here is less about Russia underachieving and more about Canada's chemistry hitting full stride.

True story. If Russia put in a lot of KHL players to prove that their league can compete with the NHL, its not working.

After finishing no lower than 4th place in the last 4 olympics, I would say that their program has been pretty darn competitive.

Canada looks like they have their chemistry finally. Their passing is sick.
