For tonight at least. Sunday is a new game....I would not underestimate him.

Snipe! Nice shot Sammy!

I got that quite often on my center ice package. Probably at least 40 times this season. Its random, but its awfully cool to just see whats going on around the rink, listen to the announcers off air, and so on. I love watching the camera crew pan around the crowd too. I would love to see that kind of thing for every game on nhl center ice.

The Wings are going to have to play tough this period. The Ducks are going to come with everything they have. No sitting on this lead...

For tonight at least.....

Obviously, Hossa and Franzen don't want to go down 3-1 to the Ducks. Now if we can get Dats and Zets on the scoresheet, that would be great.
-
Hossa! I hope he is heating up!
-
Its amazing how at the beginning of the playoffs everyone was worried about Osgood. He has played solid. Its our defense and offense that has failed us in the games we have lost.
-
So far......I am holding my breath.

I love the traffic in front of the net. Keep on workin guys.

Franzen is a beast. 1-1

If you have Directv, 604 has the Wings game on in SD.

I seriously am laughing at the banter here. Especially from all the people who are saying Versus sucks and ESPN should get the NHL back. Well, this kind of crap happened a lot on ESPN. I remember some games getting switched over to other coverage or not being aired at all. Yet, people have quick memories. Good news everyone. If you are in the Detroit area, they are going to put it on the Ducks game. I hope Grand Rapids, MI counts so I get it.
-
Yea, they did that a little bit back in the day, but it was rare. If you don't remember, what usually happened, they would just not air the next game until the first one was finished. They have contracts too to air other programming that they won't interrupt. The ESPN treated the NHL like crap. I for one hope they don't get the NHL again UNLESS they give it some kind of priority. No more not airing games for bowling or interrupting games because some coach is retiring.

Yea, its a sad story. The Griffins had a good season though. It will be interesting to see what next season will bring for them.

This is the best post in the entire thread. Thanks for sharing.

I just ignore the fairweather fans and analysts. The Wings are down 2-1 and they have been in worse situations in the past. Lets see how the next game pans out. If the Wings lose this series, they will have no one to blame but themselves. That much is certain. It wouldn't be the refs fault if they lost the series at this point. I just can't wait to see the next game.
-
Then when your team gets burned by that rule, you can stand up and say, "Why didn't they blow the play dead?" There is no way to make everyone happy.

Yup. The article in the Free Press says it all. Wings Blew It, Not Ref http://www.freep.com/article/20090506/SPOR...lew+it++not+ref

I will agree with you that they are imposing their will upon us. The Ducks do want it more. It wasn't until the 3rd period when the Ducks just slacked off and the Wings got a ton of chances on net. Lets put it this way, if the Wings keep up this level of play and lose this series, the Sharks won't look as bad for getting beat out of the first round. Every Red Wing fan that cheered for the Ducks to win that series so we could play them should be taken out in the street and shot. I knew this Ducks team would be trouble and now every Wings fan is feeling that after a game 3 loss. I predicted a Wings win in 6 games and I am sticking to that. I have faith they will pick it up and play hard in Game 4. If not? Well, they have no one to blame but themselves.
-
Its less about the Wings playing this well and more about how the Ducks are not backchecking or hustling like they were in the first two periods. It looks like they are trying to win this game 2-1 and that could be dangerous.
-
It will be quickly forgotten by the fickle Osgood "fans".
-
Incredible save by Ozzie.
-
Good? Yes. Great? No. They are missing the net a lot. The Wings have got to stop clutching their sticks tightly and just get the puck on net. Good things will happen.
-
Just like the same idiots that are begging for a Wings player to run Hiller. I pay them no attention.
