I know, it concerns me too. They should be hitting the net as much as possible.

Those goalies will win championships on a rare occassion. The goalies who are average that have a strong D in front of them will win championships far more often.

To the pens credit, they are picking it up and playing tough on D.

QFT on the effort. As for the reffing, it was very good IMHO. As a Wings fan, they could have called more though. As a hockey fan, they called that period very well.

They played this well in the 1997, 1998, and 2002 NHL seasons. Especially in the finals.

They are missing their chances. The Wings aren't. How many times are they going to miss the puck when they get a close in chance?

Osgood is doing his job. As a goalie, if I make the first stop and my defense clears all rebounds and deflections away from the net to avoid second and third chances, I am in great shape. Thats what the Wings are doing right now.

The jaw guard he was wearing was probably a huge distraction for him. He looks like a new man since they removed it.

I hear you on that. Yzerman was the best Red Wing I have ever seen play. Course, I have only been watching hockey since 1994. Can't forget the Wings past though and Gordie Howe was a staple as well. Sawchuck died way before his time.

LETS GO WINGS! Nah, thats right on IMO. Howe and Sawchuck were staples for their time. Just like Yzerman was a staple for the game the last 20 years. Howe and Sawchuck had more championships.

As you mentioned before, any analyst that comes out thinking the Pens will win is being marked a moron out of the gate by the Wings fans. While its ok to disagree, and even point out the analyst was wrong after the series is over and your team has won is fine. I just don't agree with the blatant flaming either, but I guess we are in the minority.
