That we are only 4 games in and he is doing the little things that don't show up on the scoresheet. The Wings have shown they are not a one or two line team. The scoring is spread around and that is what every team wants.

A lot of teams are having some time on their hands. Look at Toronto who had about a week off between their game last night and the week before. Its no big deal.

This is why I don't give any excuses to this Detroit team. When they play focused hockey, they can beat any team in the league. The problem is that the first period and a half, they didn't play that way. Looks like they are taking OT off now.

Then why is no one sticking up for Hudler? If he is doing his job, what is the problem? 40-50 points for a 3rd line player is pretty good, but he has hit that mark and came up 3 points short from doing that last year. So far, I am impressed with Hudler's performance this season. We will see how things go the rest of the season, but a 40-50 point campaign for a 3rd liner would be great. I predicted a 60 point campaign for him this season at the start.

I would rather see a Dats-a-trick. They said at the start of the game that they have been working more on special teams and power plays. Really not much they can do other than keep up the effort. I believe that the power play will come around.

Haha, true story. I still remember when a friend of mine who is a Tampa Bay Lightning fan had season tickets during all those crappy years. Everyone who showed up to the games were real Tampa Bay fans. Then, the team got good and won the Cup. He said that the cup winning year was fun, but all the bandwagon fans jumped on. When they regressed, it went back to the way it was. Now with the team getting good again, the bandwagoners have returned. Personally, I would rather have a good team and deal with the bandwagoners than have a crappy team and no bandwagon fans. Ask the Lions fans how they have felt the last 8 years. You don't have any character left to assassinate. So it was a fruitless effort.

Great start to the season. Three wins on the season and strong defense. They need to work on the power play, but overall, I am pleased.
