I lose years of my life in overtime playoff games.

Cheli, maybe, Maltby, no. Overall, this isn't really an issue in my mind.

I am not into cheapshots, but this guy just screams sleeze to me...

"They can say all they want about a dirty hit. That's not a dirty hit in hockey. You're allowed to take the body in this game."

I could see this going either way for a number of reasons. I don't think it's too far removed from the Brashear hit though at the end of the day. These kind of plays that ultimately boil down to utter an lack of respect between players all ought to be handled the same way if they want to actually start to manage them. While I won't be shocked if he just gets a game, I think it's quite likely that he gets five. Again, hits like this no matter the severity are about a lack of respect between players. Those kind of hits need to end because you never know how you're going to catch someone. I still say Bertuzzi's cheap shot was far flakier than it was menacing and the situation ended a guys career. This kind of bulls*** needs to stop. I'm all for fighting. I'm all for a physical game. But keep s*** clean. Keep hits and sticks down. Lay off when you see numbers. Show some damn respect for fellow players. It's that simple.

I think I'm going to have a heart attack. This series is going to be war. I think we can win. I do. But I'm a little worried about the shape we'll be in once it's over.... DAMN!!! What a ******* ending though...unf***ingbelievable. Heart attack.......this is truth...s***...

You can tell how intense things get as the playoffs go on by my ever-increasing use of profanity mixed with decreasing use of complete sentences. This game has been a 2009 landmark for sure......

If we light Hiller up early and throw his head off, this will be over quick. 4-5 games. But that could be a big "if." Memories of that other (.........funny now.......) Ducks goalie in round 1 years back still breed irrational fear.............

Absurdity follows: Wings in 6. Datsyuk takes it to another level. Hossa hat trick in game 4. Osgood and Hiller battle hard through first 2 games, split. Games 3 and 4 open up offensively and physically, split. Wings take a tight game 5. Wings take game 6 with authority and professionalism to advance.

That didn't take long! Love it.

Man oh man...I really thought the Sharks would at the very least make it to round 2. They have got to be the biggest playoff letdown team...unreal...gotta hand it to Anaheim though for really showing up. They'll be a challenge in round 2. We'll see how Hiller likes our offense. It should be a good series.

YES!!! Way to pull this one out to head to Round 2. Hopefully the weeks rest will give Osgood time to get things 100% again. Good to see Ozzie finish it despite the fear factor involved...hopefully he's ok and nice to see him shut them out in the 3rd. Hats off to Columbus though. They didn't let this go easy. They'll be a solid team in time. And man, I like Hudler in this post-season. Glad Holland's dead set on finding a way to sign he and Hossa! GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!

I get the whole not tinkering with the lineup thing, but if this becomes a bigger issue because he played hurt...............I just want to win this game and get him some rest.

If he was hurting I have no idea why he even started tonight. We've got this series under control. Conks can handle a start the way the rest of this team is playing. Get the win and give Osgood a week to rest up. Unbelievable that he finished that second even. Even if they weren't scoring those goals, he was obviously in pain and struggling to move and get up. Why on earth risk making it worse when he's played as well as he has?!?!

And me of course...like I've said all year, Osgood will be fine when it counts. I admit though that I was a little off considering that he's been outstanding thus far. He's got better numbers than Vancouver's ever-celebrated Roberto Luongo in the post-season thus far and it's not like Vancouver's lacking on D either. Not bad for the "weak link" with the "worst regular season stats for a starting goalie." This Calgary-Chicago series is far more satisfying to watch then the Detroit series thus far. I'm not complaining about winning or dominating, but by game 3, round 1 had the feel of the regular season for me. Now it's all, "Round 2! The real season!"

I've been saying it all year...he'll be fine...quote me on it in June. Couldn't be happier for this guy right now with all the crap he's taken this year. He's a year 1 lock for the Hall of Fame if he keeps this up to the Cup. No doubt about it.

Well, I'm happy with the way the 2nd played out...

Another good period of hockey. They're working hard out there. Gotta keep it up for 40 more though. They need to get another goal or two in the second. It would be rough to go into the 3rd up only 1-0.

Perspective? I've got 15 years of perspective in watching Osgood play. I can tell when he's up and when he's down before the puck drops at this point. As I've been saying for awhile, he's fine and will be fine and great when it counts, just like last night. Just like he always has. No team has lost because of Chris Osgood. He'll give you a chance to win when it counts, CAN and WILL steal games and can lead this team all the way to another Cup. Again, perspective? 15 years. Hundreds of games. I'm not worried about the regular season. Come on, one regular season? Let's get some perspective...

Yeah Ozzie Ozzie Ozzie. Like I've said for a long, long time, Osgood knows how to make it happen when it counts. There's absolutely NO WAY he'd have the numbers and Cups he does over such a long career if not. He's looked great tonight. Can't wait to play a period where we're actually even strength most of the time. Hopefully it's 2. I think we'll make them pay for that horrible 1st...GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
