Look at Bert draw penalties... A power play goal would by no means leave me feeling confident in our ability to win this game, but I'd be a lot less pissed off.

Oh, of course. Why would getting guys together that have better chemistry help anything? You're kidding yourself if you don't think chemistry has a lot to do with not only a teams success but a teams momentum. Instead of knowing that you're icing a line that has a role that's been well refined, you've got guys constantly trying to figure out how to play with each other and forgetting to play the game for 60 minutes. Injuries have something to do with that issue, but there hasn't been a point this season where the healthy team showed signs of having solid chemistry. We had some good things going for awhile when we had a ton of injuries and I even said I was scared of getting a lot of guys back then. I said again and again that "I like this team" and I mean that holistically. The team LOOKED and PLAYED like a team. They battled hard and they didn't score a lot of goals but they hung tight against all odds and won a lot of games they probably should have lost. I liked that TEAM. I'm not digging this team. When we were the most healthy in October, the team looked like s***. Now that we're getting healthy again, we're looking like s*** again. I don't think it's a coincidence.

I don't know what to say... I don't think it's quite that bad, but something is not working. Since we started getting guys back the defense has gone back to SUFFERING on so many levels. We were terrible in October defensively, then guys got injured and we had to tighten up, then guys come back and we're sloppy again. You can't make Ericsson grow up overnight. I don't know what Stuart's deal is lately. He was a rock for a long time when we needed it in a pinch but has been on-off to the extremes the last ten games or so. Kronwall can't seem to stay healthy. What can you expect from Meech and Lebda? Lids and Rafs are fine. I don't know what you do there. Kronwall needs to stay healthy, Stuart needs to get his head back together and we could really use Lilja back here fast. I'll tell you one thing though that I really don't like about this team right now: it seems lacking in chemistry. The Helm-Draper-Eaves line is a legitimate line. Dats-Homer-Bert was finally looking like a real good line. But everywhere in-between has been a mess...things changing every day, even throughout games. But nothing's really clicking, hence why I'd like to see them make a move or two if only to try and change the formula a bit. I don't expect any big names to come or go, but I really think we need some balance. Balance will help create more cohesive lines and maybe then we could actually get some chemistry going now that most of our guys are back. I'm still optimistic because I think a lot of the pieces are there and I think this team for the most part still has a lot of potential. But something's not working.

Drunk or not, Murph's goofy demeanor cracks me up. I enjoy what he brings to the broadcasts. He's certainly a unique character. And all of those little segments where he coaches the kids are priceless. Especially when he starts getting frustrated and yelling...man, tough to find better intermission entertainment...

I love seeing ZDH out there, but there's no way you can keep them together down the stretch on this team. Once Franzen's back, Z and Dats will be centering the 1st/1a and 2nd/1b lines, Flip 3rd, Helm 4th. ZDH will get some ice time every now and again, but it won't be on a regular basis.

He's talking about the Flip goal which was insanely lucky. The puck was on a path to go about 10 feet wide of the net before it hit a skate...

I do indeed understand such middle grounds. Meanwhile, Flip is still a "horrible finisher."

Yeah right! VRRRRRRROOOM goes a pass/shot way to the right of the net if it doesn't hit a skate and he's a "finisher?!?" Man oh man, you got some made lollllerskates...

The only way Flip would score is a flukey play like that. Not sure if it was a pass or a shot, but it would've gone way wide of the net if it hadn't deflected off a Kings skate.
