I am a glass half full guy as far as this team. So in my mind from 1 to 4 we are going to get a good player and we get an incremental bump in talent.

Where does this poll assume we are picking at? Pick 2 Pick 3 Pick 4

If Lafreniere pulls an Eric Lindros on the Wings
AtlantaHotWings replied to Scott R Lucidi's topic in General
If he did I would be okay with it especially if we got the same kind of haul QC got back in the day set Avs up for a long haul. It would probably accelerate the rebuild a bit...LOL https://thehockeywriters.com/eric-lindros-trade-revisited/ A little snippet of the trade with Lindros saying it was a single person the owner why he refused https://www.nbcsports.com/philadelphia/video/i-didnt-want-play-nordiques-owner -

lol yup and I blame lack of math skills due to stuffing food down my throat in honor of Jimmy.

Some research was tried https://interestingengineering.com/sumo-goalie-vs-nhl-player-bigger-goalie-better but then again it was a sumo turned goalie not goalie turned sumo.
-
Or we are starting to believe his new sumo training might pave the way for a cup. Wings go 96 - 0 as he fills the net with his flesh and there is no openings to score. Jimmy will need a BIG truck for the parade if the sumo thing works out for us and him.

I am in the bolded camp!!! Also once you get done watching TKing another are you kidding me shows is.... The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia yes they are white yes they are in West Va yes they are wild wonderful is in the eyes of the beholder but I advise using closed captioning especially if you are drinking while watching.

So take this a bit further could the cap go down next year? If so what team could shed pieces that we could pick up for a decent cost and see a bit more sunshine next season vs the dark cloud of this year.

My thought is how the h*ll can the organization even contemplate bringing Blash back? This season as we all know wasn't a step back it was a gigantic leap backwards. We are in rebuild mode yup I get it but still there shouldn't be a 23 point gap to the second worst loser or have I lost it? -

That would be absolute crap and beyond the pale of conspiracy theory of keeping us down. I think the bottom 5 had no chance of making the playoffs should be locked in then let others play into drafting positions. My God we were SO SO BAD and deserve something for the effort. -

I love this part in the article The most obvious buyout candidates when it comes to NHL forwards include Detroit’s Justin Abdelkader and Frans Nielson (both long-term signings made there by current Oilers GM Ken Holland), Andrew Ladd of the New York Islanders, Milan Lucic of the Flames, Kyle Okposo of the Sabres, and Loui Eriksson of Vancouver. So it's not just us whining about those contracts others see it!!! I feel justified -

this makes sense as a quick glance shows the most games played is 71 and those are the bottom feeders like us and Ottawa and Habs. So anywhere from 72 to 82 makes sense and keep the format the same. -

https://www.mlive.com/redwings/2020/03/whats-next-for-nhl-red-wings-during-after-coronavirus-hiatus.html Found below a bit interesting from the above article which I hadn't thought of as an aftershock of the virusdown. If games are canceled or the playoffs wiped out will the salary cap decrease? The cap is linked to revenues, so it would be impacted. The current limit is $81.5 million, and it was projected to rise to anywhere from $84 million to $88.2 million for 2020-21. -
Easy peasy in this day and age pop up a zoom, webex, etc other video service to be named. Everyone dials in and watches the balls drop into place including ours @ 4 Ottawa's @ 1 and 2 ...Habs @ 3 and so on and so forth

Based on the Wings season they owe us ....... Just like we would have done during the playoffs till draft day..... -
Is there a reason Svech is on the 3rd line? Strategy or is he failing? Asking as I have tailed off paying attention kind of like the Wings

Might be the rubber duck shorts limiting his game.

Watching the presser now and at 20:17 ...."as of right now I dont plan to make a change read into that what you want" NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Gotta believe a change behind the bench will have a distinct affect
