It has to be a goalie used to seeing a LOT of rubber ala Hasek in his days in Buffalo and still keeping the team in a game. Whoever/IF we bring an outside goalie in they are going to be behind a still porous defense for min 2 years and I am being optimistic. Okay so why not hire Laviolette if he is the best chance of us getting on an upswing into next year? We are 13 points behind NJ the next overall loser and they have 2 games in hand so could be as much as 17. The distance to move up dramatically starts to get insurmountable in my opinion as we go up the standings. I highly doubt you get a 20 plus point bump from a coaching change especially as the players adapt to a new coach's strategy plus more injuries, perhaps a trade @ the deadline(LMAO) I think we are comfortably numb at the bottom of the pile and will see a top 5 pick as worst case.

Ahhh the days of "real" metal is kinda like the days of "real" country. In prep for the draft maybe we put the players numbers in the NHL "pick" bowl and have it spit out lines and defense pairs. Be kind of entertaining plus if we magically pick 72nd then we know the fix is in with the NHL. Being a Tigers, Lions and Spartan fan along with being a Wings fan...nowhere is happiness to be found for that individual. Of course being a Tigers, Lions, Wolverine fan along with being a Wings fan gives glimmers of happy until OSU wallops you again at home. Hmm wonder if it's time to grab last game of year tickets in the club section. If you are will to pay for are pretty awesome seats. Paid 190 per ticket last year to see that blowout. But had free food and beer 2 hours before game, during, and an hour after. So for this fat ass beer guzzling redneck it was a deal. Plus I get to Detroit once a year hotel and airfare is all points so splurge a bit on tickets. Thinking of doing the proposal on the big screen if I can figure it out. Anyone know someone that has done it like at the Joe etc and what kind of hoops do you have to jump through? Doing some preliminary investigation.
