It has to be a goalie used to seeing a LOT of rubber ala Hasek in his days in Buffalo and still keeping the team in a game. Whoever/IF we bring an outside goalie in they are going to be behind a still porous defense for min 2 years and I am being optimistic. I am done with Jimmy thanks for your service but time to go another direction.

Okay so why not hire Laviolette if he is the best chance of us getting on an upswing into next year? We are 13 points behind NJ the next overall loser and they have 2 games in hand so could be as much as 17. The distance to move up dramatically starts to get insurmountable in my opinion as we go up the standings. I highly doubt you get a 20 plus point bump from a coaching change especially as the players adapt to a new coach's strategy plus more injuries, perhaps a trade @ the deadline(LMAO) I think we are comfortably numb at the bottom of the pile and will see a top 5 pick as worst case.

Ahhh the days of "real" metal is kinda like the days of "real" country. I would argue a lot of the folks at an Aldean, Georgia FL line, Chesney etc per Kip's point would be hard pressed to take on the current metalheads. Take the fans that listen to Aaron Lewis, Willie, Charlie Daniels, Johnny Cash then yeah those folks would whup arse. Trouble is it would take them too long to warm up to fight. Perhaps flip Flip for AA as maybe AA going against a lesser line gets him moving in a positive direction? LOL can't believe I actually wrote that. In prep for the draft maybe we put the players numbers in the NHL "pick" bowl and have it spit out lines and defense pairs. Be kind of entertaining plus if we magically pick 72nd then we know the fix is in with the NHL. Like people who lived through the "Dead Wing" era have said it hurt but at least back then Probie and Joey provided entertainment. Now it's how soon does Jimmy give up that backbreaker of a goal and open the floodgates to reach our average margin of loss of 4 goals. I am alright losing but getting crushed is not a good thing. Sucks to be unhappy about a game knowing we are probably getting hammered again tonight but at least I will be too. Still a fan till my final shift.
