We always have been a "pretty" team shoot from the outside in the playoffs not going to the dirty areas. This team seems to be different whether its youthful enthusiasm or not, The kids are sticking their noses into the dirty areas and I think its forcing the vets to step up their game. Win or lose this series I am excited to see what happens.

Who knows that whack on the boards he got in the Sabre's game might have shook him up a bit more than then we know. I have no worries about him its Franzen that needs to go the AHL ride some buses and get back to mule mode.

As pleasing as this sounds I think the kid line has played together beyond expectations and why fix what ain't broke. Plus last thing you want is the 2 kids on that line deferring to Dats. I prefer to see EuroTwins reunited with whoever, the kid line and after that let God(Babs) sort it out. With Z and Dats together that causes a first d pairing for the other side then Gus and crew gets less attention. Not to mention on D leave Smith with Kronner and put Big Rig with Danny D and roll the dice on the third pairing. Exciting times to be a Red Wing fan!

If he goes down to 15% or 10 % who cares ? Lets enjoy the moment and what happens in the future happens. But I think him, the kid line are gaining confidence that will go a long ways next year and the year after .....etc etc. Plus we have others in the pipeline!

Shoulder first or not it was a head shot in the end and the league is supposed to be cracking down on crap like this. If a Wing had done the same I would be saying the same thing. I wonder if Glendening had flopped over like he had been shot if more penalty minutes etc would have occurred. I wouldn't be shocked to hear from the Wings that he is having concussion like symptoms in the next 2 days after all its to be expected this season.

I remain optimistic till we are out and if it comes to pass we are out. Then I look forward to next year with some healthy vets, experienced kids and some new kids coming in and the start of a new streak!

Trouble is what would they require in return?

At this point we as fans should be allowed the Red Wing injury experience vs the normal NHL fan experience of the fan skating with the team or visiting locker room. Here is how I see it playing out The Wings injuries are put into a hat the lucky fan draws the associated injury knee, laceration, concussion the list goes on and on..... At this point you have the option to pay a bit more and actually experience the injury! Then be treated by the Red Wings staff as if you are a player. Plus you can join the player with the same injury as you do therapy together. Or take the non dedicated fan route and and simply accompany the player to therapy. So you get back you go with Zetterberg to therapy!! Or get your knee drained with Danny C!

I know he started like poo and has seen little birdies floating around his head this year. But I think the biggest thing with him is that I am guessing they figured out the proper dosages for depression meds and that's why we are seeing a better overall effort for him.
