This isn't accurate... he let in a softie on #4... the 1st goal should have been an icing, goals 2 & 3 were gift wrapped by our defensive collapses. This team needs a new coach. FYI: I'm not Husso guy. -

Which doesn't mean much... he's injury prone... we should be exploring trade options with 50% retention, praying someone is desperate enought to take him.

You can easily replace players like Veleno with ELCs and save more cap. I really think we need to follow the Chicago model of the 2010s and rotate out middling scrubs for new ELCs. You can't replace everyone in that mold... you do need some experience as well but churn these guys as soon as they want 3+ million.

Agreed on Finnie, he and Doucette could be our outta nowhere contributors on ELCs to replace the Joey V's and Rasmussens of the world once they want more money than they're worth. I really advocate for the turn over of middle/bottom 6 guys like Chicago did in the 2010s really helped their cap and revitalized the team.

Possibly... I was thinking Berggren as the centerpiece and a defenseman for now and one for the future. Maybe swap Wallinder for Buium and add a 2nd?

Narp... Cossa is my dark horse for the Canadian Olympic team... we're very thin at G, if he gets games this year and steals the starting job by Xmas 2025 he'll be selected.

I'd have done that... we have 3 versions of Kasper and he's the weakest of the three. Rutger would have been a nice add for us we don't have a player in that mold. I'd have even added a late pick or long shot prospect.

Funny you should mention Zadina... saw some speculation he's going to sign in Europe... figured I'd swing by for a victory lap since I called that too. I'd rather have Berggren than Laine. Holl is fine...

1. We get Rutger McGroarty from the Jets for a package featuring Bear-Grin and a 25 lotto protected 1st, sliding to 26 if necessary and a 2nd in the opposite year. 2. Holl is our 3rd best defenseman. 3. We finish with the same point total but miss the playoffs by a larger margin. 4. Mazur is a 2nd half standout.
