This is pretty much where I'm at. Podkolzin reminds me of Zetterberg. Plays his heart out, plays in all situations, great all-around game, not a great skater but more than makes up for it in other ways.

I was trying to put together my top ten list earlier today and, as always, I couldn't settle on an order for 4-10. (Byram is my current #3.) I'm not even 100% sure about the set of names. So, yeah. If picking 7th is our doomsday scenario, we're in pretty good shape. And we'll be picking 4th in the other arounds.

Take care of yourself, loo! I guess I can do the playoff GDTs, but only if no one else wants to. TBH, I don't pay much attention to the playoffs when the Wings aren't taking part.

Thank you kind folks for being all up in these GDTs, whether you're a lurker or a regular contributor or somewhere in between. It was a tough season and I'm hoping next season will be more enjoyable and maybe some of the more competent GDTers will return so you don't have to put up with my boring live-blogging every night.

I make spreadsheets and then I make cool pirate hats out of the spreadsheets. Then at the end of the season Ken Holland calls me and asks for my general thoughts and I tell him, "Yarr, you best be signing Hossa, lest you end up in Davy Jones's locker," and he hangs up. Man, Wings have totally phoned it in tonight. It's almost impressive.

Personally? Pretty nervous, tbh. Or maybe "anxious" is a better word. I'd be way more nervous/anxious if we were in danger of being bumped out of a bottom-two spot. It's a very real possibility. End of 2nd. Wings trail 1-5. Choosing to lay this long-overdue egg on Fan Appreciation Night is top-tier trolling. Well played, Red Wings, well played. We just need to go on a run here.

I feel for him. He's mostly played behind subpar teams. It's no secret that the defense in front of him has been weak for years now.
