If we should be mad at anyone, it's the Sens and Kings. The Sens, because they're just a disaster. The Kings, because they have Doughty and Kopitar and Quick and therefore have no business being where they are.

Does kinda bug me, but, I mean, it's not like the Wings have ever been a goalie factory. When you say you miss the days of the Wings changing goalies every two years...there were a lot of free agent signings in there and a number of homegrown guys who didn't work out. Anyway, I'm more than OK with this Howard deal. I was fully expecting it to be a two- or three-year thing.

I believe he has some sort of heart issue, i.e. it was known before we signed him. Hopefully this is just a minor scare and not a big incident. We shall see... On a more positive note...

And I will call them dumb and fart in their general direction. Hughes has played against men -- specifically, lots of top college teams -- and dominated. Which isn't to take anything away from Kakko, who's doing crazy things in an actual men's league. I just feel like the HYPE!sters in the media have done a poor job of explaining why Hughes and his accomplishments are so impressive. I do think Kakko is probably the more NHL-ready player, though. no u
