Yes. Hadn't read past the headline and the Panarin thumbnail, though. LOL @ us giving up Larkin and not even getting Panarin. Panarin sucks anyway. Pacioretty is the future.

Larkin sucks, Panarin is the future.

Respect the pro-cess. -
Then he'll bolt to the KHL. Never liked Rasmussen anyway. He's lazy and he sucks.

They should go back to their original logo. Never should've messed with it in the first place. Alternatively, they can move to Hartford and bring the Whale back.

I actually don't know where it's originating from, but I've seen it popping up in comment sections across multiple different hockey-related platforms. Probably Fake News. Either way, I think it makes sense as a standard "I'm gonna ask for way too much and you're gonna offer way too little" demand.

Word on the street is the current ask for Faulk is Nick Schmaltz + (Chicago's) 2019 1st. Schmaltz is a perfect target for Carolina: a 22-year-old right-shooting centerman coming off a 51-point season. I'd say Larkin is a pretty good comparable.

Zetterberg sucks. Elfstrom is the future.

Pretty much. I am of course pulling for the Wings to get back to contender status within the next two or three years, but that's likely a fantasy. Very many things would have to go very right for us. Here's the really sobering thing about the Atlantic outlook: you mention the heavyweights (and Buffalo), and for good reason, but the Habs and Panthers have also had our number for several years now. The Atlantic has been and in all likelihood will continue to be a house of horrors for the Wings. #Parity

That's exactly what I'm expecting. blah

Given how much we'd have to give up, probably more concerning than exciting.

I suspect Blashill lets Z have the final say about his usage. Callin' me fat. Makin' fun of my workouts. Y'all are stone-cold racist against demons. Don't think I don't see how it is.

Andreas Athanasiou is not Alex Ovechkin. Doesn't invalidate what I'm saying. His game is deficient in key areas and he needs to grow his game if he wants to become a cornerstone guy. The same is true of Mantha. Cool. Death to defense and well-rounded players. You've convinced me. I'm not saying he needs to become A Two-Way Player. I'm saying he's a one-dimensional player at present and he needs to grow his game, for his sake and the team's sake. I'm perfectly calm. I'm not saying anything Blashill hasn't told him and all the other young guns a hundred thousand times. We all want AA to excel as a Red Wing. We need franchise cornerstone players. If AA grows his game, he could become something really special. I was disappointed with what I saw from him this past season, whether it was him singlehandedly killing power play cycles left and right, or failing to deke around a defenseman in a one-on-one situation, or being easily stripped of the puck in the corner, or blowing assignments in the d-zone. His career is still young and I would expect him to become a better player over the next few years. I want to see him become an unholy terror, a guy no one wants to play against. To become that player, he's going to have to work incredibly hard at his craft and not just count on his rush game to get the job done every night. -

I want him to realize his potential, become the best player he's capable of being. What he is right now is a middle-six winger who lives and dies by dramatic knife-thrust rushes through neutral ice. That won't get him very far. If he grows his game, works on becoming a better playmaker, works on setting up and executing high-level cycle plays in the o-zone, works on being more engaged on the defensive side of the puck (which will lead to more offense), works on playing "in the guts of the game," works on protecting the puck and winning board battles...he could be a really great player. -
No sense in moving it. It would cost us assets, we don't need the cap space, and Franzen is family.

Seems like Green and Vanek really are well-liked by their fellow Wings. Or at least by the future captain.

Which Goalie Will Have The Better Season?

Howard. There's a lot at stake for him, so he'll be extra-motivated. -
Hronek.

If we're whispering in his ear, I just hope the message is "No sign-and-trade. Hit the open market next summer. We'll be waiting." If he can make it to next summer, I think we have a decent shot at landing him.
