Lowest we can finish now is 5th-worst, with a Canucks OT/SO loss or win of any kind. What amazes me is that three teams in our division are going to finish lower than us.

To be clear: I'm sure they'll start with Elliott. But they're going to turn to Mrazek in a moment of desperation and he's going to go on an unholy tear.

I'm counting on Mrazek being this year's no-name goalie who overachieves like a madman in the postseason. I doubt it happens, but weirder things have happened.

If I'm the Flyers, I dunno if I trust any one of Neuvirth, Mrazek, Elliott more than the other two. We shall see!

I'd completely forgotten that Draper won the Selke. (2003-04.) Isles look totally flat. Think they know Tavares is leaving? Pretty cool that Tavares gets to play his last game as an Isle against his new team -- and in their shiny new arena. -
I like the Flyers' chances in a best-of-seven against the Pens or Caps or Jackets or Leafs. Not so sure about the Bolts and Bruins. Eastern Conference looks sort of wide open, tbh.

Plus, there's always next year's draft, which is shaping up to be just as deep as this year's draft, possibly even deeper. Jack Hughes (brother of Quinn) is phenomenal. -
They pay tomorrow afternoon, hosting the Rangers. All they need is a point to clinch a postseason berth and turn that 4th into a 3rd. Brain Elliott's starting, but Mrazek's already won the number of games he needed to win for the 4th->3rd upgrade.

Yep. We're tied with VAN in points and we can't catch them in the ROW department. Nor can we catch MTL or ARI in the ROW department. Wings regulation loss + ARI win of any kind + MTL OT/SO loss or win of any kind = Wings finish 29th / 3rd-worst, first pick lands somewhere in the 1st-6th overall range.
