Seems like there's only one thing everyone can agree on: Rasmus Dahlin is incredible and will absolutely, positively go 1st overall. Beyond that, there's no solid agreement between any two people in the world re: ranking the best of the rest. Andei Svechnikov could go 2nd...or he could go 5th. Brady Tkachuk could go 2nd...or he could go 8th. Adam Boqvist could go 2nd or 3rd or 4th or 14th. Filip Zadina's stock is rising like crazy, but he's a winger playing in the high-scoring QMJHL, so who the hell knows if he's really That Good. Evan Bouchard's stock is rising like crazy, but defensemen are a crapshoot. Noah Dobson's rising like crazy, but defensemen are a crapshoot. Some people think Bode Wilde is a future top-pairing stud, some people think he's another Erik Gudbranson. Joe Veleno could be the steal of the draft or a crushing disappointment or something in between. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO BELIEVE ANYMORE

I will be absolutely astonished if both Howard and Mrazek are moved. I'll be only slightly less astonished if Howard is moved and Mrazek isn't.

Radulov's very good. He has a history of being kind of a s***head, though. That + his age (currently 31) + the fact that we're probably going to be bad for the next 5+ years, which would probably lead to him bolting for the KHL mid-contract --> I'm ok with him not being a Wing.

Uncertainty shmuncertainty. Vegas is gonna win the Cup this year. In response, Arizona will initiate a full-on arms race. Before you know it, the greatest rivalry in pro sports will be between two ice hockey teams based out of the sands of the North American Southwest.

We laugh now, but we're all gonna be mighty butthurt when Arizona gets both Dahlin and Tavares this summer.

Ah, gotcha. Honestly, I'd be pretty surprised if they hadn't done most of that work already.

No rush. Even if Holland tries like mad to sell right now, it's pretty clear that no one's ready to buy big pieces at this time. I'm sure he's been working the phones, but there's only so much he can do right now. Plus, prices will go up as we get closer and closer to deadline week. Time is on our side.

I hear ya, on all counts. I'm choosing to believe that the Wings organization is so afraid of spending multiple years in the league basement that the front office is going to take the energy it normally puts into keeping the playoff streak alive and re-focus that energy towards getting "ALL THE PICKS" and really taking a serious, calculated stab at trying to pull off an actual, honest-to-goodness reload. Get the picks. Get ALL THE PICKS.

Awful collective performance, obviously, but I'm really happy that Bertuzzi is playing as well as he is. We need all the promising young talent we can get, and Bertuzzi finally showing that he has what it takes to succeed at the NHL level gives us another good young forward. He didn't impress in his short stint last season and he looked like crap in this season's exhibition action, but he really seems to have taken That Next Step and is now officially too good to continue playing for the Griffins.

I liked Bouchard before it was cool to like Bouchard.

TBH, I'm not ruling out a return like that, especially from a team in TB's position. Despite Hedman's injury and the uncertainty about how he'll perform when he returns, I think they're still the team to beat this season, especially if they add a couple of good depth pieces. They have good young talent and their core players are in their prime years, so they can afford to part with late first-round picks for a couple of years, IMHO. And when you have Hedman and Sergachev and Koekkoek on the back end, I dunno that a Callan Foote is really all that valuable to your organization. Or, put another way, a Callan Foote is probably much sexier to Wings Nation than he is to Bolts Nation. But then, I'm not Steve Yzerman. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
