OK, first of all, how dare you.

I'm gonna be honest: I'm still not sold on Werenski. I was looking at his underlying numbers the other day and I couldn't believe some of the stuff I was seeing. And I mean that in a bad way. Everyone and his mom will tell you Werenski is a bona fide 1D, but check this out: https://www.hockey-reference.com/players/w/werenza01-advanced-ev.html O-zone starts: 58.4%. D-zone starts: 41.6%. ???!!! Even with that sheltered usage, his Corsi For % is a middling 48.6 and his Relative Corsi For % is an unspectacular 1.1. Sure, he's scored 17 goals this season, but he's rocking a shooting percentage of 12.1, which, for a defenseman, is ludicrous. (His career average is 7.8.) So, I'm inclined to believe the stratospheric goal scoring is unsustainable. I'd hold on to 1st overall, I think.

It's a good junior league. But, yeah, it's a junior league. The SHL is the men's league. Mind you, I'm not trying to knock Soderblom. I guess my point is that I'd be worried if he *wasn't* dominating the SuperElit. It's expected of him. He's a good prospect and hopefully he can graduate to the SHL next season (assuming that's the plan).

Worth noting he's not playing in Sweden's top league. So he's a man mountain dominating boys.

I honestly don't know what to make of Gallant as a head coach. Ken and Mickey are always saying he's a very player-friendly coach. Is that true? I dunno. If it's true, do we want that? I dunno. Should we be concerned by the fact that he's been unceremoniously canned two straight times now? Possibly. Does his track record indicate that he gets pretty stale pretty quickly? That argument can be made, though it's worth pointing out that the Knights were playing solid hockey under him this season. Can our team play Gallant hockey effectively? I dunno. If not, can Gallant employ the right systems for the team? I dunno.

In all seriousness tho, I'm so damn glad Seider is ours. I keep waiting for him to give me a compelling reason why he can't be as good as Victor Hedman and all I've got is "Hedman is taller."

Dude could never get it done on the ice. Had to have Gallant do his dirty work for him. Now that he's a GM and he's being BADLY EXPOSED, he's going to go running and crying to Gallant once again, just like old times. "Please, Mr. Spudz, get me out of this horrible mess I've made!" Disgraceful!

What's scary about Seider is he isn't even fully grown. Literally this isn't even his final form.
