True enough. But we're likely going to be in a position where we simply have to trade him, rather than risk losing him for absolutely nothing. So, if it's already more or less determined that we're going to be trading him, I want the best return he can possibly get us. Which means I want him playing the best he can play. (Not that I wouldn't want him playing lights-out anyway, mind you.)

My greatest regret is that we never had 30-goal Mike Green and Nick Lidstrom on the same blue line. Can you imagine???

No, I agree. I just don't see us getting the first overall pick, which is the only way we're getting Dahlin. Don't wanna get my hopes up. Svechbro is more realistic, especially if he slides a bit because of his injury and/or because he's a winger.

For what it's worth, AA's been promised a spot in the top nine and, I believe, a spot on the PP and the PK. Also, I think it's been more or less officially reported that one of the big reasons why AA held out was Blashill. So, basically, I'm assuming that if AA plays, he's going to play a lot. And with these past two games, I'm starting to wonder if Blashill isn't on thin ice right now.
