Quincey does ruin this team's future. He singlehandedly cost us 20 points in the standings. He'll corrupt the kids. He'll continue to weigh DeKeyser down. He'll be an anchor on a team that should be doing everything it can to improve because it only has three more years left with its best player. Our defense is a sad, sick joke. One guy who can put up points. One guy who's truly effective at both ends of the ice. -

No one wanted to come here. And while that's absolutely not on Holland, it absolutely is. This team is stagnating and rotting, even with Datsyuk and Zetterberg and the new kids on the block. It's soft, slow, horrendously injury prone, small, and full of left-shooters. And no one wants to live in Detroit. (Which, to be fair, isn't Holland's fault.) -

She doesn't know anything. She's a terrible writer. She can get bent. -

I think it's both. Lidstrom was the engine that drove this team, and our GM has always secretly (or not so secretly) been dumb as s***. Everything Ken Holland says is bulls***. All of his s*** about there isn't a hockey store, and you need a dance partner, and this is how you have to do it in the cap era - it's all bulls***. He takes us for idiots. Every single one of us. And he takes our money. And he wastes a lot of our time. I have an extraordinarily hard time believing there aren't other people who couldn't do an infinitely better job. The one thing to his credit - our stable of young talent - isn't even his doing. We have great scouts and a great player development track and lots of great people in the organization. S***, give Fischer the job. Give Ryan Martin the job. Give Draper the job. Give Babcock the job. Put Holland in charge of human resources or public relations. Or maybe he can be a trainer and massage Dan Cleary's knees all day, every day. -

I should've listened to you, GMR. I should've listened. I've gone back and forth between love and hate for this guy, but now I straight-up hate him. It sounds childish, cuz it's just a game/sport. But, s***, it's how I feel. I literally hate the guy. It's generally very hard to get me truly hate anyone. But this guy...f*** him. -

And Helene and Khan and Pleiness and all you other know-nothing hackjobs...go to hell. Especially Helene. That you have a paying job while people are starving and dying on the streets makes me want to punch you in the face with a monster truck. -

This isn't even funny. This is the worst thing that could've happened. We gave Kyle Quincey a raise. I want to strangle Ken Holland. I'm not sure I've ever really wanted to strangle another human being in my life. Ken Holland takes the cake. Take a bow, you incompetent, brick-sucking disco f***. -

F*** Ken Holland. -
Fire the grandma.

And it's not going to do them a lick of good in the West.

Is it wrong that I'd get some sick satisfaction from seeing us go 0-20 to start the season?
-
Then make him want to come here. Or find someone else. Or, if you can't find someone else, find a forward. Or swing a trade. Do something that makes your team better. You have 365 days of the year, every year, to figure something out. Anyone can sit on his hands and do nothing. A dead person could do that. A pet rock could do that.

Our goal for this season will be to win two games in the playoffs. That'll be an improvement over our one win against the Bruins. We're a team on the rise, baby!

GTFO Kenny. Get right the f*** out, right f****** now.

WIIM: I want to sign an enforcer to protect our team from Ken Holland. -
You don't know that either one of Tatar/Jurco is a future top-sixer, though. I get your argment. And I mostly agree with it. But I'm not sure why you have to stomp your feet about it. Losing Tatar or Jurco wouldn't be the end of the world. Not necessarily, at least. They've proven a whole lot of nothing at the NHL level. You're making it sound like they're sure things. We do need Tatars and Jurcos and Sheahans, though. Productive young players on early deals. Unfortunately for us, the key reason why you'd want a bunch of young productive players on early contracts is that you'd have the money/assets it'd take to bring in a big name. I'm not sure Kenny's ever going to land an elite talent again, through free agency or trade or even raiding a KHL team. Mantha for Hudler.
-
You mean we're preggorz?
-
You'll have to get through Helene first.
-
I'm gonna try to rationalize this again. Being a bubble team again, or maybe even missing the playoffs, means we're getting a good pick in what will be a great draft. Also, with some plugs not returning (fingers crossed), we get to see what some of these young players are really made of and where we really stand when half the team isn't injured (again, fingers crossed). Maybe one of them becomes a legitimate star. Maybe we end up with a surprisingly good team. F***, I can't do this with a straight face.
-
I'm starting to think Kenny maybe kinda sorta wants Babs gone after this season. Blashill ascends, Babs goes somewhere where the GM actually listens to him. Both parties win, I guess.

Myers has had his issues, but he's not the first player to have issues. (And playing for the team and organization he plays for does matter in trying to establish how good he really is and how good he really could be.) You're talking up Tatar when he's had one good season in which he faced relatively easy competition and got tons of o-zone starts and pretty much had zero real expectations weighing on his shoulders. He and Jurco are still largely unproven, and their trade value may be at all-time highs. I'm not saying I'd necessarily pull the trigger. Myers' contract scares me. But I'd consider it. I love Sproul and genuinely believe he's a future #3 or #2 or maybe even #1, but, realistically, he's at least a couple years from being a guy who can make a difference.
-
We need help on the back end. Myers has tremendous potential, which he's not going to come anywhere close to realizing on a s*** Sabres team. If we lose one of Tatar/Jurco, we still have Nyquist, Pulkkinen, Mantha, and one of Tatar/Jurco. And Datsyuk and Zetterberg. We could do a lot worse.
