Myers plays for the Sabres. A kid and a pick for someone who won the Calder Trophy and might very well regain that form in a new setting might be worth it. It'd have to be the right kid, though. I wouldn't move Mantha, probably not Nyquist either. Maybe Tatar. Maybe Jurco. I'm not saying he's The Answer. But I've seen enough of him to feel he'd be worth a good look.

The only really positive takeaway here is that we still do have a very promising stable of quality young players, and, should they pan out in a big way, we haven't done anything to endanger our ability to keep them. Or something. I don't know. Shut up.

TBH, this year's pastures are about as green as it's going to get, in terms of UFA options. And Kenny got no one new. Absolutely no one.
