He and Smith are probably the brightest spots for me. Datsyuk has scored, but I honestly feel like he's kind of over this whole playing hockey for a living thing. I dunno. -

My impression is there's not a single Caps fan on Earth who approves of anything Oates has done, aside from getting Ovie going again. Even the lethal power play is really just Ovie burying one-timers from the same spot over and over and over again.

I've been assuming it's that. He was pretty shaken up from that pile-up that resulted from that, um, horrible Datsyuk turnover.
