    Whoa, Flyers only have 91 points, i.e. same as the Jackets. That makes things much more interesting.

    Y'know what? I'm fine with Boston. We're gonna have to go through them anyway if we want to come out of the East. I guess I feel like if we get the Pens (and beat them), the Bruins will make it to the conference finals, whereas if we get the Bruins (and beat them), it might be the Flyers in the conference finals. So...get the Bruins (and beat them), yay. Get the Pens (and beat them), Bruins. It made more sense in my head.

    The Pens' power play does scare me. They could sweep us without scoring a single even-strength goal.

    We want the Pens. We stack up better against them, and I think we'd have a really good chance against the Flyers or Rangers. It'll probably be the Bruins, though.

    Fair enough. We'd certainly be the underdog, and I wouldn't expect a Wings triumph. But these Pens seem to be tumbling into the playoffs, almost like they know this isn't their year.

    Oh, I agree. Should've worded it differently. It'd be winnable with him in the same way that making the playoffs was doable with Datsyuk returning. He's not necessarily needed, but it'd be a huge lift. So, basically, a truism.

    So, big takeaway? For me...if our special teams can improve a bit and Z and/or E can return a little early, a series against the Pens is absolutely winnable. They only won tonight because we let them.
