I must've been watching a different game, because I wasn't very impressed with Smith.
-
Damn.
-
We can do this. We've got a little momentum.
-
Why don't we know how to pass?
-
I smell a stupid Kronwall penalty.
-
Lashoff's been pretty brutal.
-
When the Goose can't get loose, the Sauce must go boss.
-
I'm pissed, but, really, we don't deserve to even be in this game. At least 15 clear-cut turnovers in our own end. Nyquist can only do so much.
-
Come on, we can do this.

THINGS Quincey goes to the box yesterday for a penalty in front of his net, they score on the PP. Quincey goes to the box today for a penalty in front of his net, they score on the PP. I bet opposing coaches use him as motivational material. "C'mon, guys, we're just one bad Quincey penalty away from tying it up! It's coming. We know it's coming." At some point we're gonna have to learn how to play in and break out of our zone. It's hard playing in your zone, but not as hard as we make it look. How many times have we flubbed a pass or shot or dump? Is the ice that bad? Howard's been a f****** wall. This is the Jimmy Howard we know and love. Nyquist is dangerous every time he has the puck. Kindl gives me nightmares. I've got a bad feeling about this last frame. Need to really buckle down and pull this out.

Dallas Eakins loses his cool...thanks to some water

There was that one time he said his idea of a perfect game is one where his team doesn't have to throw a single hit. The Edmonton media doofs, being Edmonton media doofs, were totally confused, and it was awesome. I don't think he's quite ready for success in The Big League. Certainly the Oilers were a bad fit. I think one thing the Oilers have to realize is that they need a top-end NHL coach, e.g. Laviolette. Renney, Krueger, Eakins - these are, IMHO, guys who were picked because of a lack of clout, i.e. Ownership/Management wants guys who will "know their place" and not question stuff and make a big fuss when it becomes clear that everyone at the top of the pyramid is incompetent. I'm not blaming Eakins, but I don't think he's the right man for the job. To turn this sorry-ass sack-of-s*** team around, they're gonna need a guy who really, really, really knows what he's doing. -
Why would you have Ericsson and DeKeyser as a pairing?

They don't call Hall one of the most talented players in the world for nothing. Also, I really like Scrivens, as a goalie and - from what little I've seen - as a person. -

I'd imagine this is more of a this-team-sucks-and-I-just-need-one-little-thing-to-set-me-off-omg-my-best-player-just-squirted-me-with-water kind of thing. Or maybe he thought it was...semen. At any rate, I predict Hall will demand a trade to the Red Wings. -
Andersson in? Ferrarro/Emmerton out?
-
I WANT TO BELIEVE. lol. Man, the Oilers are ungodly awful.
-
Shootout win for the Caps in San Jose. They pull back to even with us, but we still have two games in hand. I don't know how the hell the Caps are doing what they're doing, I just know it needs to stop.
-
To be fair, this is the same Bettman who [insert stupid things he's done, e.g. the Coyotes].
-
3-2. Wings. Nyquist. My heart can't take any more of these PK finishes.
-
Bulls***.

GOOSE
-
Just an absolute nightmare in our zone. Unbelievable.
-
Good start, guys.

I was gonna say, we needed a PP like whoa. Usually it's the other way around, us dominating but somehow falling behind.
-
Man, you can tell the Wild have worked on being more of a posession-centric team.
