You can tell the players like and/or respect Tim Thomas. We don't bowl him over when we easily could. Z probably saved a goal right there. This is looking dicey.

One thing I really don't understand about this team is why we can't ever have a complete team game. If we're outshooting the opposition 10-1 and pressuring like mad in the o-zone, we're gonna let in a softy. If we're getting outshot 1-10 and none of our skaters have come to play, our goalie's playing the game of his life. Good offense, bad defense. Good defense, bad offense.

Wings-Kings, Kronwall winner. That alone earned us about five years of bad luck.

I think the bottom line is that Dale Tallon knows how to put together a good anti-Wings team, and he's doing it again with the Florida Panthers.

Honestly, the FS-D one probably isn't worlds better, Wings bias or not. I've come to accept that it's basically Mickey Redmond saying the same things he says every night and laughing a lot.

Crazy, Winging It in Motown just did a piece on rules re: sticks, e.g. playing with two (basically legal if for a very short time and the puck isn't played, I think).

Helm is both awesome and terrible. He'd be the best player in the world if he had a set of hands.

Rumor has it the Rags may be interested in a Stewart-for-Callahan swap. (Not trying to pass this off as an original insight. It's been reported by many outlets.) I'm not a big Stewart fan, but I might be interested, for the right price. Like you said, he's a top-six power forward type. We could really use one of those. They'd want a high-end roster player in return, though. Who do we give them (keeping in mind we'd probably have to move some $)? -

The Habs wouldn't trade with us if their lives depended on it. Then again, Bergevin and Therrien apppear to be morons. But, point was, it's just some food for thought. There might be serviceable - and available - top-four defensemen out there who we haven't even considered. -
