Well, we already know Nyquist can be clutch in the playoffs. Tatar, I feel like he was born to play on The Big Stage.

If I had to guess, I'd say it was mostly a timing/rhythm/pace issue. When he was cold, everything he was doing was just a half-second or half-an-inch off, i.e. he had to re-adjust to the NHL game after having adjusted to the AHL game.

Used to be high on this idea, but the reality is they'd want a top-four defenseman coming back their way, and we can't manage that. Kronwall is untouchable, Ericsson signed an extension and had a kid and wants to retire a Wing, and DeKeyser chose the Wings over every other team. That leaves Smith, who we won't move, and even if we did, he's not a proven top-four defenseman in this league. TATAR!!!!!!!!

This game is 100% winnable. We just have to not suck.

We can't handle speed, aggression, pressure. And every team knows it. And they failed. Quincey and Colaiacovo, not good enough. Why would Z go back-door on that play?

We need more low-percentage shots from the point. Those work really well for us.

I still don't understand how you lose your top two defensemen (not to mention your #4 in Stuart) and don't bring in a high-end player to help cushion the blow.

I'm down with firing Babcock. Best coach in the league, but pretty clearly losing this locker room. Yeah, I know, injuries, but the guys who win the Jack Adams are the guys who make contenders out of injury-ravaged lineups (e.g. MacLean last season, John Cooper this season). Even with the injuries we have, we've got enough talent that we shouldn't have to get on our knees and pray for a regulation win every single night. We've become underachievers, and it's pathetic. Crash for Blash!
