I'm almost kinda digging that the Habs just pulled within one. This is just damn good TV right now.
-
Bulls***.
-
FTR, I posted this about 20 seconds before he scored. (GameCenter feed is 20-30 seconds behind real time.)
-
Sheahan is honestly one of my favorite guys on the roster.
-
I really like Abdelkader.
-
Gallagher is crazy good.
-
Tatar: he makes things happen.
-
Cleary with a flying Superman zone clear and penalty draw. Impressive.
-
I bet everything Monster does is thrilling. Like, he pours his morning coffee while doing back flips.
-
Habs are playing a reckless game.
-
Smith has no brain.

Andersson and Glendening are both bottom-six centers who excel on the PK, but I feel like the similarities kind of end there. Andersson's a big body, thinks the game well, is comfortable on the third line. Glendening's more of a gritty fourth-line shutdown agitator checker energy guy, and he's right-handed. Sheahan FTW. Bergevin destroyed his team last summer with some boneheaded, are-you-serious? acquisitions. He's on the short list of GMs who might bite on Cleary.

It's interesting, I don't think anyone - on the FS-D broadcast - has explicitly stated that it was Alfredsson's Sens who embarrassed the Habs last season in the first round.
-
Franzen's close to returning?
-
I'd do it.

Yeah, sure, I'm a racist. You caught me. Shucks. An African American friend of mine once scolded me for characterizing Michael Jordan the way Mickey was characterizing Subban. He said it was a no-no.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzz

We're being physically obliterated by...the Habs? Really?
-
Mickey, you might want to ease up on the horse metaphor when referring to P.K. Subban. Yes, he's a wild stallion, and a thoroughbred, and a workhorse, but he's also, well, black.

Basically, that we get away with a lot of holding. Which isn't necessarily untrue. http://kuklaskorner.com/tmr/comments/evening-line-tmr-version-theyre-smart-they-hold-you

Actually, interestingly enough, Hossa was on that very Penguins team...
-
He also had that nice snipe against the Flames earlier this season. Wasn't necessarily a wicked wrister, but the placement was great.
-
I really hope Price and Subban don't feel like they need to make a great impression on Mike Babcock tonight. Unless that perceived pressure throws them off and they have terrible games. Then I'd be fine with it. On a mostly unrelated note, I noted that Hossa's post-game comments about our cheap, underhanded tactics are actually well within the norm for folks who've just lost an emotional game to us. See also: Michel Therrien.

Actually, that wouldn't work. Has to be some upstart Eastern team that we can see wiping the floor with our collective bloody corpse in a best-of-seven, forcing us to be the best we can possibly be and, ultimately, propelling us to four championships in eleven years. Ottawa?

Was he hurt recently?
