Well, I mean, we're gonna lose. I think that's pretty much a given. But we'll look like an actual team that actually gives an actual s***. Or we won't. /nostradamus

The REALLY frustrating thing is you can be almost certain we're going to show up against the Ducks, be ten times the team we were this evening. Maybe we're just bored? Maybe being in a tougher conference was really important for us?

We're playing passive. Playing not to lose. We have no heart, no jump, no moxy. No life. Some of it is the injuries, but that's not a valid excuse for what I'm talking about. We're not bringing it, and, though I hate to say it, that's a coaching issue. I'm not saying we need a new head coach and staff. I'm not necessarily saying Babs is doing anything wrong. But we need to come to play, and then play, and then do that for 60(+) minutes. We're not doing that. Why? How does that happen with a team and organization and franchise like this one?

Starting to get worried about this team.

Hadn't considered that. It's probably a big reason. We do need more offense, though, so it's not like slotting him right next to Datsyuk isn't a good idea.

Looking at the Bolts' injuries, and the Pens' last night...maybe we don't have it so terribly bad. Either way, gotta get a win here. This losing needs to stop. The winning needs to start.

They seem like really big dorks. It's great.

I think he's got a decent shot at making the team next season. We need four or five things up front: size, speed, skill, youth, and all-around "firepowah." Jurco has all of that, and some brain-splattering skillz and instincts. Plus, he's a natural right-winger, as opposed to a left-winger we'd slot in on the right side (see: Bertuzzi, Cleary, Abdelkader, Franzen, Nyquist, Tatar, pretty much everyone ever). But there are, of course, many factors to consider. Would it be right for his development? Can he grow a decent 'stache? Etc.

This is one of the most terrible and awesome things I have ever read on LetsGoWings.

I keep telling myself that all these injuries are a gift, that all this adversity can be good for the team in the long run. The flip-side of that is we could just lose a lot of games and not really take anything away from it.

Great work, Mabus! With Eaves and Jurco in the fold, we now have three natural right-wingers! This is a big deal for us! (Jurco shoots LH but plays RW.)

To be clear, I thought it was great. Beautifully done, the cinematography and soundtrack and brilliant little moments here and there. But it has a slightly different overall feel than what I think everyone was expecting. Maybe it's because these are two Original Six franchises. Maybe they want to make it more classy, straightforward, a little more like a "serious" documentary than a hardcore fan's all-out wet dream. Maybe a little more about the Human Drama than "How many times did he say f***?" I guess what I'm saying is it felt grown-up, PC, non-gimmicky - which is, perhaps, the opposite of what we were expecting. But it's still fantastic stuff.

So stoked! I hope he blows us away and somehow earns a permanent spot. Then we could have Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Nyquist, Tatar, and Jurco all on the same team!
