Terrible start to the second. What's up?

Lots of bad passes, giveaways, off positioning, Smith and Quincey both missing the puck on the goal. We had our chances, and we established a few really good forechecks, but overall I thought we looked nervous, out-of-sync.

It always kinda surprises me that Alfie's accent is as thick as it is.

So this is my first time using Gamecenter. Is it normal that I can't access any of the games yet? (I'm assuming because there's nothing to show.)

But is it really any different than none of them having an A? Will there really be any accountability, pressure, etc.?

Man, I cant believe it's been over ten years since we faced the 'canes in the SCF.

But if we're getting a high-end defenseman in return for Howard, and then trading maybe a decent roster player, a high-ish pick and a solid prospect for Miller, that might be more than lateral. My knee-jerk reaction is, of course, "No deal!" - but I'd want to know exactly what we'd be getting in return for Howard and exactly what we'd be giving up for Miller. Because, if I understand correctly, we're not talking about just a straight-up goalie swap.

As everyone knows, I firmly believe the WC > EC. But, if you look at our division...man, it looks to be very, very competitive, and only more so as time goes on (i.e. some of these teams are only going to get better). As competitive as the previous Central had become, I'd say it was probably less scary than our current Atlantic, all things considered. So maybe that's what they were thinking?

I feel like Elias Lindholm is a future Red Wing. There's something...inevitable about it. IMHO.

Thoughts. 1. Destroy 2. I like the 'canes. If I weren't a Wings fan, I might be a 'canes fan 3. I really don't like their new jerseys, relative to their old ones, which I loved. So I guess I wouldn't be a 'canes fan. Because jerseys count for a lot in my book 4. Like last game, there's absolutely no reason why we shouldn't win, and by a wide margin. If we lose, we absolutely suck, and - bright spot? - Tatar steps in for Game #3 (and beyond?) 5. ...Unless Tatar's actually playing tonight...? 6. The second line comes alive tonight. Maybe 7. LETS GO RED WINGS I think Babs said yesterday that he wanted to get him in this game or the next.

Wild are looking really good.

Kings and Wings in the SCF, IMHO. Wild up early...or are they? Under review. The goal is good. Pretty nice, really - even though it's Cooke. Wild have never lost a home opener?
