Apparently both teams will be resting their stars and icing very AHL-heavy lineups. I and others had thought it was basically going to be Leafs vs. Griffins, which had me all bummed out. But - and watch, this won't actually be the case - it's looking like it'll be Marlies vs. Griffins. Which should be interesting. Jarnkrok and Callahan score. That's all my crystal ball is giving me. -

Doesn't kick in until the regular season starts, I guess (i.e. it's ten regular-season games, as opposed to, like, 2 preseasons and eight regulars). He has one of those faces. -

The Wings are all about slow starts, whether it's a game or the season overall. I don't know why that is. I have to assume it's mostly to do with age. "Slow and steady," that whole old person thing.

Clarkson was happy to escape with his life. Ericsson let him live. Also, he got himself banned for ten games because he thought his help was needed, when it wasn't. *facepalm* And now he gets to watch his team win/lose without him for a whole month. *facepalm* Also, congratulations, you picked a fight with a Red Wing (we're known for our fighting), and not even Bertuzzi, but Ericsson (our most fearsome fighter, by far). -

Carlyle was asked something about the Wings not being "tough" and he sort of took issue with it. Basically, "team toughness" can = many different things. Granted, he was sort of covering his ass ("Randy, your team was beaten by a bunch of wimps. What do you take from this?"), but still, props to him for the props to us. I like to think this was a statement game, even though it wasn't really. Alfredsson made things happen, love it. RUSSIAN SWEDISH FIVE -

Well, that's exactly why they went out and got an old guy. Kids poop so much, whereas fully grown men don't poop at all. This is why people have mid-life crises. One day they just stop pooping, and they spend the rest of their lives full of s***. Which is why older people are fat.
