And, to me, the "fake laces" are more reminiscent of the familiar DNA double helix. (Imagine what someone who has no conception of hockey jersey laces would think/see. "Um, so wait, what's that thing? It looks like something was, uh, glued there? Is it, like, the DNA thing? But why is the DNA thing all ghosty?") Also: Semen stains the mountain shoulder tops.

I feel like there is this evil force in the world that is trying to destroy humanity by creating terrible pro hockey jerseys but they don't know what they're doing, big picture-wise. Sort of like the underpants gnomes.

If he were Pure Concentrated Evil, a true Despot for the Ages, he'd be making five times this much - and all that on top of mult-billion-$ personal networth. And he'd have broken and battered call girls suing him left and right. He's a small fish in the Ocean of Evil Fish.

These things take time. He won't be better all at once.

I'd expect him to have some pain at this point. He seems to be on the grin-and-bear-it treatment track, i.e. accepting that you may very well be in physical pain for the rest of your life, etc.
