Aw, Emrick's not so bad. True, he rambles, but I think it's more senility than anythiing else. It's almost sort of endearing in that way. (OK, not really. But still.) And, yeah, he "plays the fool" as a way of "pandering" to non-hardcore hockey fans, but, really, that's not such a bad thing.

I still don't understand why every talking head in the world says Anderson is the best goalie in the world. Oh well. Lets hope they got the derpitude out of their system and are going to play actual hockey for the rest of the game. Go Sens!

Very impressed by the Sens so far. The Pens look nervous, out-of-sorts. They, like the 'hawks, have not faced much in the way of adversity this season. Whereas the Sens, like the Wings, definitely have.

This was sarcasm, just to be clear. The Avs know they're gonna suck for at least another three seasons. They've gotta find a way to keep people interested, get butts in the seat...make money. 2-3 top draft picks in the top 5? Patrick Roy behind the bench? No Wings every three weeks? Oh, the marketing possibilities...

No diagnosis, no prognosis, Helm keeps aggravating it...I dunno, maybe I'm weird, but none of this really engenders a whole lot of hope or optimism in me. Not that I think he won't find his way back into the lineup in due time (as in, some time next season). But, I can tell you from experience: back problems can really, really, really, really, really, really suck - especially for a guy as young, active, physical, etc. as Helm is. Definitely feel for the guy. Can't rush it, though. On a more positive note... Has this been a blessing in disguise? I mean, you hate to call something like this a "blessing." But, with Andersson's surprising emergence, and with Nyquist and Brunner - both legitimate top-six scorers - tearing it up...suddenly, we get Helm back, and we've got a wicked bottom six.
