lolz I've been posting here for almost a decade. This isn't a typical GDT for me; I'm tired and I want to go to bed, but I can't because I have to stay up, and the Wings are all like, [flops around on the ground like a fish], and I'm like, meh. -

I feel really tired of the Wings playing 1/3 periods, making the same mistakes over and over again, coming up short in the same fundamental ways season after season, etc. I'd be all smiles and rainbows and puppies, but it'd be dishonest, and I'd feel dirty. -

OK, to be fair, saying Howard hasn't shown he has it in him is, I suppose, too harsh. He's shown he has it in him. He's won some games for the team in front of him (though none of them really spring to mind, likely because I'm dead tired and here mostly to complain). I'll even go so far as to say he has all the requisite tools and pieces and what-not to be the best of the best. But he's got to put it all together now, take it to a slightly higher level. -

Howard's a good goalie. Maybe even somewhat great, sorta. But he really hasn't shown that he has it in him to flat-out strap the team to his back and win games all by himself. The elite 'tenders, they can do that, and they do do that. (Doo-doo. lolz.) Alas, Howard is not (yet) elite. -

Reading these comments, I'm not quite so cross re: this not being a national broadcast dealy. Sounds like we didn't show up to play. Then again, this team seems to change gears every fifteen minutes or so. Been that way for a long while. Jekyll/Hyde bulls***. -
