    I know I'm getting a little overly (or at least gratingly, I imagine) negative here, but... It's deflating, yes - but it's classic Wings, one of several such embarrassing traditions dating all the way back to the mid-90s.

    Yes and no. Yes, because we missed about 19 wide open nets. No, because we didn't show up to play, and Nashville did. - 40 shots on goal - One goes in - Rinne wasn't especially spectacular That spells weak effort, and a well-deserved loss.

    Was thinking the same thing. Not that I wouldn't have taken the goal, but this team only really seems to turn it to 10 when it's got a big chip on its collective shoulder. So it should be an interesting 3rd.

    Because of the cap, we have a ceiling. We'd love to be able to get a Parise and a Suter, but we also have to look at, you know, 1) Is that feasible? Just in terms of sheer economics, and 2) Is player x--Would he be a good fit here? Because there's a human factor to this thing. I think it's easy to forget that and just say, Well, players x, y, and z are all-stars, and they're available, so, you know, 2 + 2 = 4.
