  1. Stop pushing the motherf***ing puck into the corners and shoot it at the motherf***ing net, you motherf***ng pansy-ass motherf***ers.
  2. Kakko has had an awful start to his NHL career, so expect him to score nine goals tonight.
  3. PIERRE: "Hey Eddie, does that thing remind you a bit of the thing?" [uncomfortably long pause] ED: "nah"
  4. Let's do this thing. Make Kate Beckinsale cry in her beer. No mercy.

I think the white stripes should've been off-white to match the pants, but overall I think it's a pretty great look. I like it way more than their normal look.

Yes. I'm digging the hell out of the off-white pants.

I dunno why they couldn't just use the shoulder patch logo as the main logo. Just "old up" the look. Don't friggin' do the stripes and cursive name bulls***.

That is the most low-effort, low-energy sweater I have ever seen.

  11. I guess I look at Larkin as a slightly different case because he'd faced older, collegiate players with the US development program and as a collegiate player himself. And, of course, his wheels have always been op af, which allowed him to kinda overachieve a bit in his younger days. He surprised the NHL in his rookie season and then hit a brick wall and had to learn that speed alone wasn't going to be enough. And, actually, he was a penalty-taking machine last season. 75 PIM last season! Alas. The demon king giveth and the demon king taketh away. (Note to self: Never praise Seider again.)
  12. To me, one of the more telling Seider stats: 4 penalty minutes through his first 12 (almost 13) North American pro games. You'd expect a rookie (especially a just-turned-18 rookie) to be taking a ton of penalties, as he's very likely going to be overwhelmed by the pace and physicality of the pro game. It's a big adjustment. It's why many hockey people say the jump from the junior level to the AHL is often tougher than the jump from the AHL to the NHL. We saw it with Mantha. We saw it with Svechnikov. I wanna say we saw it with Hronek, but don't quote me on that. Seider? Seider's played against men. And he's big. And he's mobile. And he's smart. Praise be to Yzerman.
  13. Griffins are playing right now. Seider's registered his 7th assist of the season. He seems to be a pretty natural PP QB. Lashoff just scored his 1st goal of the season. Ericsson is in the lineup. https://theahl.com/stats/game-center/1019790 Don't tell me meme magic isn't real. Don't even try.
  14. Before I get banned for allowing this thread to turn political, I just want to say one thing: F*** the Rangers.
  15. Get busy Floridaing or get busy dying. I trust the Red Wings' power play more than I trust cLiMaTe ExPeRtS. https://www.ihatethemedia.com/earth-day-predictions-of-1970-the-reason-you-should-not-believe-earth-day-predictions-of-2009
  16. We've got a whole lot of FMLs to go around these days.
  17. Yeah, I think there's a decent-to-good chance he miscalculated there. But I guess I can't really fault him for going HAM. I imagine I'd want Yzerman to do the same thing if we get Lafreniere or Byfield. Srsly tho. Florida is awesome.
  18. Everyone wants to play there. They got Kakko and Gorton figured Kakko + a couple big acquisitions (Trouba & Panarin) = rebuild over. (Basically, what 91oR said.)

[cop movie] ERICSSON: I'm just glad this is my last day on the job. Retirement is so close I can taste it. It's gonna be great being retired and having no concussion stuff to worry about. LASHOFF: Amen, partner.

  21. In all honesty, I'm not sure there's much of a difference between us and CHI right now. I guess our rebuild is ahead of them in the sense that we've fully committed to a rebuild and we're being driven by young talent while they're kind of in a post-Lidstrom-esque holding pattern. But they do have Strome and DeBrincat and Dach's gonna be a good one and Boqvist scored his first NHL goal recently and Lehner's playing really well and they're probably gonna be right there with us in the lotto mix. They might (*might*) be able to miraculously engineer a successful rebuild on the fly.
