He was good. It's the offense that's the problem.

He's lost his killer instinct. I can't tell you how many times I've seen him begin to drive hard to Hiller with the puck only to peel off in favor of some worthless "selfless play" or low % shot.

To be fair, he's getting the job done -- night in and night out. The rest of the top 6? Not so much.

If there's one positive to take from this............. I'd feel better with them rolling into the next round with a lot of momentum. If they'd somehow pulled out a win here tonight, it still would've been a s***ty effort overall and a validation of their "play for five minutes" mentality. A nice 60 minute bitchslapping a la Game 5 would be a nice ending.
