STRADER Thank God.

I just realized Mickey's ears are pucks.

I've concluded that both of these teams suck.

I could see the docs being overly cautious, even if, technically speaking, there was nothing preventing him from skating. Time will tell, I guess. -
Chicago Columnist: Blackhawks should want no part of Wings
Dabura replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
It's pretty lol. I almost feel bad for them. Bottom line, like the guy said: if they want a "good series," then they want the Ducks. I'm going to state it plainly right now: this 'hawks team is not good enough or experienced enough to hang with this Wings team in a best of seven. They might be deeper than the Ducks, I'll give them that. But the Ducks are built as the anti-Wings, and that's why the Wings have struggled against them in recent seasons. The Wings are much better equipped to take on a team that is built the way the 'hawks are built and plays the way the ''hawks do. And if anyone talks to me about juju I will e-slap them. -
For what it's worth, it's listed as Versus on my box. So no worries for NorCal, I think.

The Ducks are your brain. The Wings are your brain on drugs. EDIT: Ha! Didn't even see the post above. -
First NHL game I ever saw: Wings-Flyers in '95. I think. Liked what I saw of the Wings. Became a fan. Kind of funny that the WCF matchup this year could be Wings-Hawks -- same as the one in '95. Full circle!

This is what I'm thinking. I broke my right collarbone once. Not pleasant. -
PP awaketh.

This. As for the topic -- 'hakws don't scare me at all. They got past the 'nucks because the 'nucks don't play hockey so much as ride their goalie and hope for the best. This Wings team is hands-down the best team in the playoffs and currently has the second best team in the playoffs on the ropes. Wings in 4.

I just mentioned those two because the person I was responding to did. Hossa could conceivably be brought back without destroying this team and forcing us to lose the war on terror. Holland knows it, Hossa knows it, which is why they'll talk this summer. The doom & gloom surrounding all discussions pertaining to this guy has, I think, gotten ridiculous. I understand the cap concerns. They're valid concerns. But I'm not going to write him off until I hear his agent say it's a no-go. People thought bringing him here in the first place was a total pipe dream.

Doesn't scream tip to me, but I can see why someone would make the argument. Bottom line, though: even if he did tip it, that goal was all Mule. That puck had eyes for that corner.

Who's calculating the necessary number of posts? Eloise Hawking?

Agreed. Look, I get it: the LGW PC Brigade wants to point out the depths of depravity to which this board has been known to sink. Great. Cool. Shame on us. But to say there's no difference between us complaining and Ducks fans complaining? Call me when the Ducks have battled through even a fraction of the number of HORRIFICALLY HORRIFIC calls the Wings have been dealt over the last several seasons.

I actually do an awesome Therrien impression. Not that it's very difficult.

Welcome to the NBL (National Bush League).

Part of me believes it's so that he can run on more or less a full tank of gas come the postseason. If so, plan = successful.

Hossa > Hudler + Sammy If you're looking to bring up the young guys while keeping the team as competitive as possible, it would make more sense moving a few guys of lesser worth (Hudler, Sammy, maybe another). And Big Rig's a defenseman. I don't know what the issue would be there. Good thing all the teams in the league stay stagnant.

You underestimate them. I agree, though -- if all they want is protection, put Downey in.
