So what did Sidney Crosby really say to Zetterberg?
Dabura replied to Coolio Mendez's topic in General
I like Mule's because it has that reddish tint to it. Makes it look like it's soaked in blood. -
For those keeping score at home: Over the course of four games, the Pittsburgh Penguins have gone from being an "unstoppable offensive force" with "the best team defense in the league" and "the hottest goalie in the playoffs" to a team that needs weak/phantom calls from the zebras just to have a fighting chance. Malkin, aka 1/2 of "One of the most dynamic duos hockey has ever seen," has been a total non-factor. This guy was nominated for the Hart? If anything, he's hurt his team more than he's helped it in this series. Fleury? Unimpressive. Ditto for Michele "The Tears" Therrien. Crosby? Crosby has consistently been the Pens' best player, but he doesn't have much to show for it. And he whines like a little girl. "Sid the Kid" has some growing up to do, as he's looking like just that -- a kid. So basically, I can understand why a Pens fan would be frustrated right now.

This shouldn't surprise anyone.

I'd like to add that I think Al should swing the octopus that hits Gary. It would only be right.

So what did Sidney Crosby really say to Zetterberg?

He was skating around, trying to start s*** with several Wings. He gave Hank a mouthful, and Hank was just kind of like "Uh, OK." Most talking heads have chalked it up to Cindy trying to "get something going for his guys," but really, he was just being an immature little ****** bag who couldn't believe he'd been so thoroughly upstaged by this guy, Zetterberg. Crosby wasn't overly impressed with [Zetterberg's work on the 5-on-3]. "He made a good play on me, got my stick," Crosby said. "I don't think he did anything out of the ordinary besides what any other guy would do on a 5-on-3." -
Sorry, but you're talking out of your ass. Hank and Dats have been treated like gods around these parts for ages. And rightfully so.

I'm pretty sure most of us have been riding Hank's jock for two or three seasons now. That shift took the company public, that's all.

I blame the terrorists.

For once, I fully agree with Crymson.

The funny/sad thing is, that's exactly right.

Quoted. For. Truth.

Wendel Clark in '08-'09, baby!

I've gotta agree with this. Marketing Crosby as the face of the league is smart business. However, doing it at the expense of other world-class players (some of them equally as marketable as Sid) is bad business. The league is filled with immensely talented, likable players. How many of them were mentioned in Versus' coverage of this series? How many of them have been mentioned in NBC's coverage thus far?

Bang-on. He plays a simple game, and he plays it extremely well -- efficiently and consistently, at that. He's the next generation of Motown Grinder.

There will be alcohol. Lord will there be alcohol.

NBC's Powerplay Angle From The Blueline Is Horrible
Dabura replied to Daniel Chosen's topic in General
I have a splitting headache now and I'm pretty sure it's because of that sorry excuse for a camera angle. -
Hank proved in the third period why he's the best forward in the world -- maybe the best player, period. His work on the 5-on-3 was, hands-down, the best PK effort I've ever seen; he was rock-solid in his own zone, showing enough foresight and general smarts to anticipate Crosby's backdoor sneak-in, and he was a demon in the o-zone, going 1-on-5 against the entire PP unit -- and almost pulling a goal out of it! Crosby? For crying out loud, he doesn't even play on the PK! And then he has the nerve to get up in Hank's face there at the end? Sit your ass down, fool -- you've been owned.

Babs is such a great guy.
-
Hank: "Piss off, you baby." OWNED
-
Zetterberg = Legend That is why he's the best forward in the league and Sidney Crosby is not.

Are the zebras Therrien's ******* or what?

I love how the Pens are supposed to be such a "deep," "complete" team, but the second they get behind, it's "GET SID ON THE ICE!!!!!!!"
